Not to be dramatic but I love this millipede more than I love a good number of my own family members. This absolutely stunning pal looks like a red-sided flat millipede, Sigmoria latior! They are also sometimes black and yellow. :)
Some of my other millipedes! Rust and Rot the desert millipedes, Peaches and Berry the ivory millipedes, and some various polydemids (sigmoria, brachoria, and apheloria species all mixed!) including one Mr Bastard Man. They are all full of love except for him!
Yes! Yes! Pedes! They’re all so pretty but I especially love Rust and Rot’s colors. What a great group of tube friends. Tell them all hello but a super special hello to Bastard Man, he’s my fav. 🖤

Very handsome indeed! Looks like a flat-backed millipede. You can see it has two leg pairs per body segment - centipedes only have one pair!

Checked on my pedes again, found an adult hanging out, and the babies are doing great! They're already so big!
