Why I love the sport of disc golf. Today I chased youth, mine for I want to feel like I am still capable of being competitive at anything, and I am literally competing against people 1/2 my age. Even more. Secondly because the group of people are generous, friendly, supportive and the oddest group one could ever get together. An example is I hit an eagle ace with a charity fundraiser disc from a tournament in 2001. Proof our hearts and sport is in the right place. I was immediately congratulated by everyone on my card, the next, the previous, and all who walked past me. It was a beautiful shot. Honored to witnessed, honored to have participated, honored to be a part. today concluded the #halloffame disc golf tournament in Appling Ga, and there were a ton of of great people just being happy about hitting trees in the woods with plastic discs.
