I'll Call You Squishy

I remember when all I could see was you

You would get in the way of everything,

Couldn't even see my toes at times.

You would flow through my whole body.

And I would find you in all my cravings.

We would fill doctors with envy,

They would always ask me to stay away from you.

You would jiggle when I laughed

Everyone found it necessary to comment on you.

They would call you fat,

I called you fluff,

They would make fun of you,

I'd beat you like a drum.

We'd have so much fun.

You even left battle scars

To remind me of how far I've stretched.

Today I handle you with love,

You keep hiding,

And it is my fault.

I keep working to get rid of you

And you're almost gone.

I'm already missing you,

You were my bodies pillow,

Made me the best cuddler.

Even my hugs were better with you.

But then puberty happened

Made me lose my squishy.

I miss my squishy,

Hold up...

Bout to go eat and get my squishy back.
