i made this blog so i have a place to dump my thoughts and reblog stuff as i see fit. no, i will not filter myself, and yes, i’ll repost stuff and interact as i want. if you’re another fleetway super sonic alter/blog/whatever, i’ll try to treat you with a little more respect due to… well… being a variant of me in technicality. keyword, try — i could care less about how i act with anyone, i just figured it’d be nice to treat you guys with a bit more pizazz then others.
“#fleet talks” is gonna be my loser chud tag for general yaps, be warned
i might make “#fleet qna” my asks tag. who knows

This was the first chance Dick had really had to explore the room. It was plush, every item obviously chosen with comfort and luxury in mind. He went around the room trying the couch and all the chairs just to see how they felt.
I won’t lie: this is my immediate reaction whenever I’m in a new hotel/casino/residence. I’ve always loved chairs and seating areas and I have this, like, primal need to sit in them all and determine which are the best (read: most comfy) so I can stake my claim in them.
Sadly, I have been more often disappointed than not, but I did get to sit in the most bitchin’ throne chair ever at the SLS in Las Vegas, so fuck yeah!
The biggest chair was so soft he almost couldn’t get up again by himself until he’d wriggled around to crawl out of it.
Even the acrobatic wonder that is Dick Grayson can’t escape from the comfiest of chairs! Again, this is based on personal experience. I’m a very flexible and wriggly person, but there was one chair that was so soft and so deepset I genuinely could not escape. So I thought, hey, why shouldn’t a ridiculously expensive cruise ship have a chair that’s impossible to get out of (A+ for canoodling!)?
He tried to ignore the amused smirk on Bruce’s face as he got to his feet.
Bruce isn’t just smirking because it is damn funny watching a grown-ass adult struggle to get out of a chair; this is something he’s seen before. You know Dick absolutely tested out every chair, every sofa, and every bed in the Manor when he first got there.
Also, these little details and bits I throw into my fics are very important to me, because they help bring stories alive. I don’t need to list every item in the room, but giving a sense of what’s there (many chairs) and how the characters interact with them (Dick getting lost in a cushion) keeps the story at a good pace and gives insight into the characters. I am forever the writer who spends more time on development than plot.
