fresh  out  of  starfleet  academy,   the  young  maquis  had  much  to  prove. there  was  lingering  dishonour  that  plagued her,  aware  of  her  abilities  but  now  unsure  if  she  had  the discipline  for  even  this  cause.   the  young  woman  was  only  twenty  years  old,  &  each  time  she  left  the  cruiser  there  was  an  air  of uncertainty.  chakotay  had  sent  her  out  here  alone,   the remainder  of  the  crew  all  split  up  along  the surface.    “ hello  ? ”    boots  slip  along  some  sand  as  she hears  a  tumblr of rocks ──  fists  almost  crushing  the  hilt  of her  phaser.   “ who’s  in  here  ? show yourself  ! ”  // @fleetliing

          It was just a small base in the intergalactic backwater he’d been roaming lately- but it was as closest thing to terra firma he’d stood on in months. The Neptune was a good enough ship, but she was a tad bit confining after running jobs non-stop, following the economic surge of new colonies...and the threats that it entailed so close to the edge of Federation space.

        But right now? He needed something to eat, and something to drink. Preferably something strong.

        It wasn’t hard to find what he was looking for, dropping down into one of the booths and pulled his PADD out; when it didn’t immediately connect, he frowned and leaned until he could see the person sitting behind him.

            “Hey. I got in late and went to sleep- did the comms array go down?”

                           ‘ i suggest you MOVE. ’      whatever it was causing the commotion several leagues back ( and Phasma was uncertain it was even this woman herself! helmet telemetry indicated little of the situation thus far ) was not something which would promote the standings of a stable foundation. what issues there were had to be amended, and QUICKLY.      ‘ whatever it is that you, or whoever else, may have here is causing interference in our equipment. ’
