How can I stop ink evaporating from my Noodler’s flex pens?

It’s happened a few times already to my Nib Creapers and it’s been driving me nuts! I’m almost at the point of just keeping them empty when I’m not using them. Would putting silicone grease on the outside threads help?

Flexible Nib Factory’s Zebra G-Jowo Section

Just got my hands on one of JGrasty’s custom feeds, this one fits a Zebra G nib. My only problem is I haven’t figured out how to pull the nib out yet. The fit is super duper mega snug. Fitted it onto a Scriptorium pen, hoping my pen friends can help me so I can play with it this weekend.

Question- I'm fairly new to the fountain pen game- (a Cross botanica, a Lamy Safari, a Marlen, and assorted Jinhao and Boer pens) and I was wondering if you could suggest a favourite flex nib, and some pen blogs to follow?

Hey, there! A Cross Botanica–I’m so envious! I’d love to hear what you think of it. A favorite flex nib–goodness, this is a difficult one. For fountain pens, I don’t have any experience with vintage pens or higher-end flex nibs, so really, the only pens I can stand behind are Noodler’s flex pens. I like the Nib Creaper demonstrator, as it’s fun to see the ink inside and the slim barrel is great for my small hands. If you’ve never tried a Noodler’s flex pen before, you will have to put a bit of effort into the downstroke to get visible flex. But after you use it for a while, your hand will get used to it (and the nib will soften up, they say). On the other hand, if you’re talking about dip nibs for calligraphy, I’m a big fan of the Nikko G and Brause Steno nibs. The Hunt 101 nib is a bit finnicky in my hand sometimes, but offers nice thick downstrokes. Those are all good nibs, especially for beginners!

Happy Fountain Pen Day!

Today was really tiring and stressful for me, so I couldn't really do a whole ton for this special day, but I hope the rest of you got to :)

Guys holy shit Putting nibs over a flame for 3-4 seconds and quickly putting them in water makes them work WAY better than they would before! I had such problems with ink being held in the nib and ink clogging in the nib, but there's no issues now! The tips just look a little blackened, but that's not a big deal >u<
