L: *Gets up and shows Y the 43 ink samples in the test tube tray Y: …………Okay, most people when you ask them what color don't just bring out an entire friggin' collection of options… L: *holds up the 8-pack of turquoise ink samples from Goulet, still in a baggie, and another baggie with 5 other samples she didn't sort into the tray Y: What the fuck L: *stands up, grinning widely Y: I swear to God, if you hold up another bag of ink……… L: *Holds up another bag with the Noodler's Navy and 2 Diamine ink bottles Y: OH, MY GOD

Old and new! The old one developed a pinkish tacky texture and also got a loose nib somehow. Has anyone else ever experienced their Pilot Metropolitan developing that tacky texture?

A question for FP lovers!

I’m starting a new job today and I’m excited to finally start using fountain pens at work! I know that a lot of people use Lamys, Pilot VPs, Pilot Metros, and “nice” fountain pens at work—if you happen to be one of those people, do you just tote them back and forth between work and home, or do you store them in your desk when leaving work?

I’m tempted to bring my nicer pens to work, but I’m super nervous about people stealing them. I’ll be bringing a Platinum Preppy tomorrow (w/ Noodler’s Navy) since I won’t mourn too much if it goes missing.

Please chime in if you use cheaper or nicer FPs at work and how you store them, I’m really curious as to how people manage the FPs-at-work situation knowing people might steal their pens!
