This is a lil Transformers Prime-verse oneshot, focused on my twin OCs Flickerflare and Cloudcompass. The history between them so far is that FF left after a fight, and CC made his own way before making it to Earth eventually. I’ve been rping CC for the past few months, and felt like writing something with the both of them to ‘test the waters’ so to speak :D
So I thought I would share, enjoy ^^

She’d gotten his attention with a ping, waving from a clearing to steer him over before disappearing into their current subject-planet’s forest. His split-spark was nowhere to be seen by the time he somersaulted from alt to rootmode, bouncing to a skidding stop on the loose ground cover. That didn’t bother him, however. He followed the tug on his spark forward, letting it guide him to his twin with little hassle. As he walked, ducking between branches and taking care with his step, the planet’s triplet moons rose overhelm. The forest came alive under their silver dusting, bioluminescent organisms dancing and pulsing a multitude of hues, swaying as a warm breeze brushed through the trees. The night-cycles of this place were always peaceful and calm, the backdrop melodies of thousands of creatures going about their business never becoming cacophonous- instead lulling one to recharge as effectively as any berthsong.
The snowy mech’s pings of curious-confused-inquiry? Went ignored, so he kept walking until the sound of running water grew thunderous, and the trees began to thin. Flicker, moonshine bouncing off her dark paint, stood on the edge of the cliff on the other side of the waterfall. While she had her back to him, he didn’t dare assume she was unaware of his presence. She didn’t say anything until her twin came to stand by her side, having hopped across the river with relative ease where she hadn’t bothered, and had simply walked through.
While to others their fields were virtually nonexistent, to each other they were open books, intertwined on levels beyond what the normal femme or mech could ever hope to be. Flicker had led him to a cliff edge with a view above half the forest, a mountain range far in the distance with a clear sight of the moons as they rose. Treetops swayed below, dancing with glimmering glowing hues to some unknown, ancient tempo. Words weren’t needed, and the moment went uninterrupted. It was simply gorgeous, and their bonds were alive with an unhindered feedback loop of awe-wonder-appreciation-love. Flicker shuffled closer until they were leaning against one another- because he always did burn hotter- and with contact came a wave of comfort-warmth-reassurance. A spark meant to be whole, split instead, forming two. There was no one in the universe who could understand the other as they did, except perhaps another split-spark pair. Wherever he was, he would never be alone- for Flicker would always be there with him.
If he had known at the time, he would have wished for that clifftop moment to never end.
