I hear you're a reader, mind sharing with the rest of us what's currently on your reading list?

Now this was a question that Sierra could answer confidently. She was glad she was getting a bit of reputation as a reader in the Capitol. It meant that people could talk to her about books. And that was much easier to talk about than anything else. 

“Well, currently I’m reading a romance called To the Stars and Back which is beautifully written with some steamy sections, if you know what I mean, Caesar. I am loving it and would highly recommend! Next on the list I think I will be trying out Space Knight: Delta which is a little out of my comfort zone, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.”

She grinned, quite pleased with her performance in the interview. “Thanks for spending time with me Caesar, but a glass of white wine is calling my name. Come join me for a drink when you’re done,” Sierra offered, but hoped he would turn down.

I have to ask! Is there any new love interests in your life? Someone that has been captivating your heart?

She smiled sheepishly, always getting an awkward feeling in her stomach at these questions. “No, no one new that is stealing my heart. Not that it’s mine anymore. My heart is in the little hands of Miss June.”

Surely, Sierra should move on from Hawke, but it was hard to when she loved him and the only product of their love was her daughter. She was reminded everyday of him. Five years later though, he was beginning to finally fade from the cracks in her heart. If the right person came along, there was the potential, but it would be hard. Sierra would always love Hawke.

Sierra! Welcome! Now tell me, first, how is Miss June doing? She must have grown an foot since the end of the Games.

Sierra smiled warmly at Caesar, wanting to leave a good impression. Would she much rather be speaking to her friends or finding a quiet place at the party? Yes, definitely. But she had obligations to the people that made her kill other children. 

“Hello Caesar, it’s nice to see you. I don’t get to talk to you that often anymore. Am I getting old?” she asked, chuckling. “My little June is doing absolutely great. She has grown a little more since you last saw her and she’s using that to her advantage. But, she keeps me young and fit.”

Oliver is almost at the prime age for the Hunger Games, any chance he will want to repeat his parents' Victory streak?

Birch had to prevent himself from just saying ‘hell no’ and walking away. He hated that since his kids’ parents were both Victors that the media was interested in them having a dynasty. It wasn’t like either of them were from Career districts and wanted that for his kids. Birch just wanted his kids to be happy and alive. The Hunger Games was not going to be something that gave any of his kids that, even if it was only one of them going in. 

“I don’t think so. I think my son is more inclined to entertain in a different way than that. He’s got quite the arsenal of jokes. If you see him tonight, you should ask him to tell you one Caesar.” With that, Birch shook Caesar’s hand and waved at the cameras. He definitely needed a stiff drink after that particular question. Or maybe he could find Oakley, a shoulder to lean on was something he desired.

I hear there is a new escort for District Eleven, have you got to meet her yet? Any words of advice?

Birch knew that there was a little shake-up within his team, but hadn’t a chance to speak with the new girl. He knew that she was young and that her name was Aurelia, but that was about it. He needed to make it a priority to introduce himself. All he hoped that she was going to be a good partner for him, rather than his ‘boss’. 

He shook his head, looking sheepish. “No, I haven’t had an opportunity to introduce myself. My only advice is that she prepares herself for an attack by my younger daughters when she comes by the house. I do hope she likes having meetings in blanket forts.”

Welcome Birch, tell us, how are the kids doing these days? I hear they're getting big and are as cute as ever!

Birch made his way over to his obligatory interview with Caesar and clapped the older gentleman on the back. He smiled at the question, always ready to talk about his kids. As much as they needed to stay out of the spotlight, they couldn’t keep it off of them all the time. 

“They certainly are growing. And are definitely incredibly cute - they sure get that from their mother. Just don’t tell Ollie that I called him cute. I think he might kill me,” Birch laughed, reaching his prosthetic to scratch at the implant on his neck. “Paisley is quite the little artist and Clem thoroughly enjoys coming to the stables with me. Summer is an absolute sweetheart and could charm the pants off of anyone.”

As such a strong force in and outside District Two, how does it feel to be someone people look up to? A lot of tributes say they want to be just like you! What would be the one piece of advice you would give to aspiring Victors?

Serenity scoffed at the sentence. “They do not want to be like me, not that it’s easy to be just like me.” She swished her hair behind her shoulder before continuing. “Not many people are brave enough or stupid enough anymore to speak with me, unless they incur some of my signature venom. But, don’t worry Caesar, I think you’re one of the brave ones.”

Her mouth set into a line as she thought for a moment about what advice to give. Sure there was plenty of actual advice - like to not - but she couldn’t possibly say that. “My best advice is to not back the fuck down from anything. If you don’t come here knowing you’re going to face the hardest test of your life, you shouldn’t fucking come. I won’t hold your hand, I will tell you what you have to do to win.”

And with that, Serenity walked past Caesar, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

As it is an obligatory question, how are things are the romance field? Doing well I assume?

Serenity knew that this question was coming. It was easy for people to connect with romance. Anyone watching could get invested in a relationship blooming in front of their eyes. Whether they think someone is good for their partner or not, it allows something fun to talk about. As much as she wanted to just walk away, Serenity did not. 

She raised an eyebrow, shaking her head slightly. “I can’t kiss and tell, Caesar, even if it was excellent,” Serenity teased. “Just know that whoever it is, they are doing right by me. They haven’t quite received a scathing bite from tangling with me.”
