Ceremonies

Downbellow sits in the crowd, chest puffed in pride as they watch Sparrowpaw be named Sparrowhollow, and honored for their enterprise. They consider themself lucky to have been able to train such an amazing young cat, and look forward to seeing the warrior they become.

Loudstar has been following the progress of Tricklepaw for moons, and feels that it is finally time for them to get their warrior name. They are granted the name Tricklesnow in honor of their stealth.

Misc

Hollynoise is caught outside the Clan's territory

Hazyseed was seen in a very serious conversation with a kittypet, who ran when another patrol approached

Garlicbeam was seen arguing, and borderline-fighting, with a cat from SplinterClan. A coin was flipped to see if Garlicbeam crossed the border and she did not, so she is safe from her third code strike

Cariboupaw believes they are part of a new prophecy

They're a bir bruised, but bruises are better than clawmarks Macavity can't understand how an appendage that isn't there can possibly itch so badly, but it's driving them insane Squirrelpaw's bruises disappeared Roarpaw got whitecough, and trained extra hard to impress their mentor, but their paws are now sore and bleeding Molepaw's heat exhaustion has abated Oakpaw was climbing a tree when they fell. Oakpaw comes up with a plan to sneak out of camp with Sandpaw (medium positive effect)

Oakpaw and Sandpaw, while exploring the territory, come across the forbidden tunnels. As Oakpaw and Sandpaw begin to make their way into the tunnels, they are suddenly grabbed by their scruffs. They hesitantly look upwards and find their mentors looking at them with disappointment, They are escorted back to camp to receive a punishment, though they feel like they should fear their mentors' anger more . . .

Fennelpaw tells Pansy that their dreams are filled with shadows and . . . visions Pansy listens to Fennelpaw talk with a deep sense of deja vu, in addition to their shock. This sounds like the trouble they had when they were young, plagued by contact with StarClan regardless of whether they wanted it or not, and they immediately take Fennelpaw aside and give them their full attention and support

A group of rogues jump out from a tumble of rocks. An ambush! The rogues are terrifyingly coordinated, and Pythonchase dies. Oakpaw is given Peonyear as a new mentor

As Wisteriapaw has finished their mediator training, Loudstar gives them the name Wisteriaflare after their dignity, welcoming them as the Clan's new mediator.

Even though they're excited to finally be made an apprentice, it takes a bit of coazing by Flitchest for Fennelkit to step forward for their ceremony. Flitchest watches in pride as they're named Fennelpaw and touch noses with Pansy

Roarkit loudly complains as Flitchest pulls them over to quickly groom their pelt. They manage to wriggle away and scurry off to the front of the crowd for their ceremony, where they are renamed to Roarpaw and apprenticed to Lakehusk

Beampaw purrs so hard that they're shaking as they touch noses with Pikepounce

Even though they are excited to finally be made an apprentice, ti takes a bit of coaxing by Fadedflake for Molekit to step forward for their ceremony. Fadedflake watches in pride as they're named Molepaw and touch noses with Thrushwhistle

Timberkit loudly complains as Fadedflake pulls them over to quickly groom their pelt. They manage to wriggle away and scurry off to the front of the crowd for their ceremony, where they are renamed to Timberpaw and apprenticed to Shalenibble

Bluebellpaw sits excitedly beside Frogcry as the meeting ends, and hopes they'll be doing something exciting like battle training first. Their claws are itching to tear at something.

While patrolling the FlightClan borders, Avalanchebeetle stepped on a concealed put trap set by FlightClan warriors. Avalanchebeetle freeze with shock and plunges into the depths, having to be flanked by other cats on the patrol once they escape

A brutal battle against FlightClan leaves Tremblemask injured

The patrol is checking along the border lines when they hear a startling sound - a hiss of pain? They quickly follow the sound and find a loner that appears to be injured The patrol approaches cautiosly. The loner draws themself up, but doing so causes them to let out another hiss. Pikepounce offers to bring them to camp

She was named Embercurl during her vigil in honor of defending her Clan and being near the end of his training, so she can carry the name to StarClan (does not count for challenge)

Other Clans

On a border patrol near the FlightClan border, Hazyseed could no longer take FlightClan's jeers and smirks. They lashed out at the first jeering cat they saw, though the hotheaded move wasn't smart as Hazyseed couldn't escape without injury

A harsh sparring session has left Sparrowpaw and Cariboupaw bruised. They worry that they will do badly in a real fight against FlightClan

Treewatcher's mangled leg healed but scarred

Shalenibble heads to the medicine den, hoping Shaka will give them poppy seeds to help dampen the nightmares they've been having Pikepounce is no longer sore Flitchest searches through their herb stores. Squirrelpaw's whitecough has progressed to greencough, greatly worrying them Bluebellkit's running nose is gone Sandkit seems weaker, lately, unable to lay as much or explore as far. They are diagnosed with wasting disease Frannie has heat exhaustion

Relationships

Lakehusk got stuck in the same tree with Shaka for hours and realized how much they have in common (high positive effect)

Lakehusk didn't want to heal in the medicine den and insisted on escorting Shaka to gather herbs. After their conversation, he is a little less begrudging over his pure blood philosophy (I imagine Lakehusk Tigerstar esque but less evil but a small margin)

Patrols

Shaka comes up with a plan to sneak out of camp with Thrushwhistle (medium positive effect) As the medicine cats' patrol pads out into PikaClan territory, Thrushwhistle tells Shaka about the dream they had last night, and what the StarClan vision could mean for PikaClan (proceed) They have an in-depth conversation about Thrushwhistle's vision as they walk. By the time they head back to camp, they have a good idea of what they should do with the information

I imagine this as less of a vision and more two outsiders trying to understand the religion of their new Clan

Legends tell of the first clan cat that created the stars above and below upon death . . . The first cat to ever pad through the stars, Silverpelt decorates her fur with the gleaming souls of fallen warriors to keep her company in StarClan

On a border patrol near the FlightClan border, Riverfish could no longer take FlightClan's jeers and smirks. They lashed out at the first jeering cat they saw, although the hotheaded move wasn't smart as Riverfish couldn't escape the skirmish without injury

Why Riverfish joined a border patrol i have no idea. I assume he felt bad being in the elder's den and volunteered to help some, though at less of a workload than the warriors

Downbellow is the leader of the training group today - always a good choice for the role, skilled at explaining things, which is especially beneficial for apprentices - if they can get them to listen, that is (proceed) Commanding attention, Downbellow takes the patrol through the familiar steps of the Warrior Code as they walk the territory - no but have they considered what that rule truly means? Would they follow it to their own death? To their friend's? To a kit's? Have they truly reflected on their dedication to the code?

PikaClan does not have enough healthy medicine cats! Fuelled by simmering resentment, FlightClan initiates a war with PikaClan, determined to reclaim their disputed territory

Ceremonies

The thought alone of fighting and hurting another cat makes Sprucepaw shiver. They decide to heal instead of fight, and Flitchest takes them under their wing

Sparrowpaw sits up straighter as they're called forward to be made an apprentice. While they try to look calm and collected, they still tremble a bit as they touch noses with Downbellow

Even though they are excited to finally be made an apprentice, it takes a bit of coaxing by Dappledflame for Cariboukit to step forward for their ceremony. Dappledflame watches in pride as they're named Cariboupaw and touch noses with Garlicbeam

Wisteriapaw is fascinated by Hollynoise's ability to solve disputes without tooth or claw. They are eager to learn, and Hollynoise takes them under their wing

Tricklepaw touches noses with Fogcrawl, wondering whether this is truly the right path for them

Deaths

In the chaos of battle and the throes of a war, it's nearly impossible to tell friend from foe. Blinded by blood, Dappledflame accidentally kills Wreniris.

Loudstar chokes back wails and tears, trying to get to the end of the story they've been telling about Wreniris's days in the nursery, and is grief stricken Shrewdusk grieves Wreniris but is not stricken

Upset by the unnecessary death of his daughter, Loudstar kills Dappledflame, stating that exile is too good for him. In a coin flip, Dappledflame is sent to the Dark Forest

Hareburst died of an infected wound

Flitchest, Fadedflake, Silkmimic, and Riverfish grieve Hareburst but are not stricken

Rumors reach your Clan that the exiled Shimmercry of LionClan has died recently

As the training patrol gossips about the last Gathering while they bask, Squirrelpaw turns and asks Pythonchase how to talk to cats from other Clans without giving away any of PikaClan's secrets (proceed) Pythonchase starts suggesting something - but Squirrelpaw talks over them, having just wanted an excuse to complain about the other Clans

Your patrol cautiously moves towards the sound of barking. Near the border, they spot a dog chasing something. Oh no, it's a cat! (proceed) The patrol swiftly jumps into action. They capture the do's attention and draw it away from the cat. Tremblemask stays hidden and goes to the cat while the rest of the patrol lures the dog away. They're unharmed, and this display of bravery make them want to join the Clan!

Thrushwhistle joins the Clan and is intact!

Your patrol finds a loner who is interested in joining the Clan (proceed) the Patrol convinces the loner to join the Clan, and they join with their littler of kits
