The couple that built this floating home, Foy & Louisa, call it “The Redneck Yacht Club,” or “Chateau Bathtub.” It’s in Maine, and their story is quite amusing. Anyway, it’s off-the-grid, so it’s completely self-sufficient.

It’s so pretty, that they thought they would rent it out, but once it was finished, they didn’t want to share it. 

The bathroom and shower are at the back of the house.

The bedroom loft has an adorable natural railing. I can understand why they don’t want to share.

Who doesn't love the sea? 🌫🌊 Come explore the beautiful island of Guimaras! How to get to the Floating Cottage? 🌸 Ride a pumpboat from Ortiz Wharf to Jordan Wharf. Fare is Php 14. 🌸 Ask at the Tourism Office if where you can ride a jeep going to Lucmayan, Valencia. 🌸 Ask the conductors at the wharf to make sure kung anong jeep yung sasakyan nyo para iwas tatanga tanga HAHA joke. Fare from the wharf to Lucmayan is Php 35. Tell the conductor to drop you at Sitio Dungcaan. 🌸 From the entrance of Sitio Dungcaan ride a motorcycle papuntang sakayan ng bangka papuntang floating cottage nyay! Fare is Php 50. 🌸 Makipagusap nalang para sa fare sa boat papuntang floating cottage. For me it's pretty cheap na yung Php 600 for 2 hours then add additional Php 200 for another hour HAHA sarisaring islan naman mapupuntahan nyo eh. Just tell the boat driver char di ko alam tawag eh 😂 🌸 Entrance at the Floating Cottage is Php 50. So yeah, 20-30 minutes bago ka makapunta sa floating cottage haha! Maraming islets and islands yung madadaanan niyo and they're pretty af 😍 Tip lang! 🌸 Buy your own food or bring your packed lunch bago kayo pumunta para mas makatipid. In our case, bumili kami sa jabee nyahaha! Reklamador kase kasama ko eh 😂 🌸 You can buy mangoes with bagoong at the cottage for just Php 20. Masarap sya huhu I wanna go back.
