After saying so, Kafka takes a seat next to the woman in the sand, chin in hand as she peers over to see what it is that she might be drawing. Never mind that what she said before was a bit concerning.

The sights and sounds of a "modern" city would take a lot of getting-used-to for anyone from a setting far less industrialized than a place like Golden Ward. Dimitri was no exception- the abundant motor vehicles, skyscrapers, and technology felt alien and inaccessible. Even so, if he was going to be here even for a short time, he thought getting a lay of the land and feeling for what it had to offer would be helpful.

To that end, he'd wound up at the Mermaid Cove Mall, the location that some residents he'd asked said best encapsulated the environment of his new home ward. The idea of this large building encompassing several different stores made sense to him, though its extravagance and architectural style were entirely new experiences. However, other aspects of the place were utterly baffling to the young king.

"The way they're moving...are they having to control those boards themselves?" His eye was locked onto the skateboarders riding around and doing tricks, utterly transfixed and speaking aloud, half to himself and half to the other person who was watching. "That must require incredible skill and dexterity..."

Or perhaps Childe was too chipper in the otherwise what would be serene atmosphere. Honestly, it was very much like him to make a scene even unintentionally. He had a drink in hand and a grin on his face which was enough to imply the glass he was holding wasn't his first. Well, no matter. If Childe wasn't spending his time sparring in Spirale, it was attending whatever bar, cafe or any establishment which sold beverages that he could.

If the person sitting next to him wanted peace, then that was very unfortunate.

"Do you come here often? I don't think I've seen you before." Childe, himself, didn't go there often at all.

"And then they went like PEW PEW PEW and then there was this GIIIIIANT metal thing----they call them robots, right, and they went VRHOOOMM SHAAAZOOOOOM." As he's engrossed in explaining this movie he watched the other day, he's waving his hands to demonstrate what he saw.

"It was SO coo--" And then he feels Garry's hand over one of his own. He blinks, free hand now placed on his lap and teal eyes watching her as she examines his fingers. They were rough. His hands dry and calloused. The scarring on his hand were faded, but there were discolored lines on them that showed they had existed at one point. It was a reminder of his work. Whatever that was.

Oliver catches her expression and grins, "It doesn't hurt, y'know. It never hurted. I have GREAT pain tolerance did'jya know that?"

It's true, but most importantly, he doesn't want Garry being concerned.

[eyes]: not just the colour, but the shape, the length of their eyelashes, whether they’re alert or usually half-closed, large or small, sunken into the face, ringed by bags, etc.

They are a vibrant teal-like hues, though his right eye seems to be a different shade than his left. You can easily just chalk it up to Oliver having heterochromia but that really isn't the case. Not entirely at least.

It's not noticeable but the shade of teal eyes on his right eye is different and so is his pupil of that same eye. Is the color of his right eye lighter or darker? Is the pupils larger or smaller? It's actually hard to tell. However, his eyes are always full of wonder and curiosity. His eyes tells a story of a boy who wants to learn more about the world. Big and round and as bright as they are, they also hold so much sadness behind them. oliver's got some thick ass eyelashes. He should share.

[hands]: are they large or small, do they have pianist’s fingers or short stubby ones, do they tend to get sweaty or are they always dry, is the skin rough or delicate, are the nails painted or chewed or sharp, etc.

Oliver's hands are calloused. Fingernails are unkempt. It's evident that he chews on them as well, and he seems to have some scarring on his hands too. Probably from all the battles he's been put through. Oliver's left hand is actually a different shade from the rest of his body. This one is noticeable though as it is darker in shade. Maybe one can just chaaalk it up to it being tanned. Oliver's hands are usually always dry as well. Poor hands.

Ambrose moves to accommodate a little, small smile given Garry’s way in thanks as he feels the blanket tucked around his shoulders. 

“Thank you, for doing this. I appreciate the help.” He says after a little bit of shy silence, carefully pulling the blanket more fully around himself to warm himself up properly with it. “It’s getting colder recently… winter is probably around the corner at this point, huh…” 

He’s not looking forward to it but it’s just something he’ll have to make the best of, he thinks.

“You should keep warm too. I wouldn’t want to see either of us catching cold.”

"Well..." He starts, nose slightly in the air as he begins sniffing about. "Everything else is gone but I can smell? Not as great. There's so much missing." And he isn't entirely sure if he should freak out or just go about his day.

"Is it normal? To have everything stripped away and...and does it ever get dark?"
