He isn't the brightest tool in the shed (is that the saying?) but he's always willing to learn. Just not through textbooks because WHY?

she brandishes her manicure at oliver and makes a tiny hissing sound, like a beast about to pounce. everyone knows the strength of team 76's vanguard and his weirdo limb, so she's keeping him at least at arm's length!

"geez, you're like a dog. how'd you track me so fast? and where'd the cafeteria go?" on cue, her stomach growls.

"...i don't know where Ping is, but i'm hungry!"

"Whoa, it really is you..."

It is a shame that the others aren't here, but to see Giselle here, it's nice. He's happy or something.

"HEH! If you're hungry, I can take you somewhere to eat! C'mon! I'll explain everything on the way!"

They thought they were smiling. Shoot. they didn’t want oliver to notice. Ah well.

“— no, it is okay.

We should do the Ferris wheel. Besides, uhm.” Their cheeks grow even ruddier than normal, “I do not know how to swim. So the Ferris wheel would be better.”

"Ooookay!" Oliver is surprised though that Chara doesn't know how to swim. He holds out his hand, his big smile never leaving his face.

"One day, I'll teach you how to swim, too! How about it?"

For now, they'll hop on the ferris wheel to enjoy the nice view!

"G--GIGI!?!?!?!"

He thought he was seeing things when he saw her name on his phone, but of course he had to double check when her scent lingered in the air like a perfume he recognized.

"IT'S REALLY YOU!?" Oliver runs up to her with a big smile, "Hey! HEY! Is Ping with you, too?" He didn't pick up her scent, but it didn't hurt to ask.

"What about everyone else? Is it just you?"

Their worst enemy has returned again — heights.

Chara hadn’t wanted to come to the festival, but — it’s Oliver. He’s their best friend here on the island, and so when he invited them? Chara said yes.

but . . . it’s heights. A hot air balloon. Chara is aware of the irony of their terror of high places.

"It's SUPPPPER high!" He turns to look at Chara this time. He wants to ride it, but....

Well, he sees Chara and he'd be dumb not to see the look on their face. They don't like high places, huh?

"Hehe!" He instead laughs, "What do you wanna do? There's a whole lotta stuff here to do. Look!" And his attention is on a surfing situation.

"That looks like a lot of fun?"

"Look at how high up it is! So close to the sun! Chara, Chara! We should get on it!" Oliver's eyes are practically sparkling with awe as he watches all of these large balloons hovering up in the sky like that!

Sephiroth looked away and gave a small chuckle, covering his mouth with his hand. He couldn't help but feel a little endeared by Oliver.

"I'll be sure to ask you then," Sephiroth said and brushed a lock of hair behind his ear. "Maybe you can share what it feels like being around so many other kids since I can't go."

"Yeah?" Oliver thinks about it. Actually, now that he really does think about it....

"There aren't a lot of kids at the school. At least not around my age, but there are other people. Sometime we share the same classes because either they wanna learn or something about 'being behind' or something." Whatever that meant.

"Why are they acting like that? Hey, isn't that Sephiroth?"

"Ya know, they hold different festivals during the season? And each one is super fun. Keh, I think my ultimate favorite is the summer festival!" He turns to the younger boy and grins, "But the sledding on snow is pretty fun, too!"

✂ "Yeah? You part of a task force or something? If there's more than one of you, anyways." The Cleaners were many things. They kept a friendly relationship with the locals and did help where needed, but that wasn't their primary goal.

"Well, it's good to do good things, right?" Even though it could be kind of annoying sometimes.

"Task force? I like that. Hehehe! We fight all sorts of monsters, so I guess we really are!" Oliver nods, happily.

"I like doing good things." People always smiled when him and his team helped clear the way. The relief on their faces AND he got praises!

"Oh..." he remembers right here, what Uzi had taught him! This kid wasn't being very nice. Grumpy, almost like Ghost when he was having a bad day!

"HOW ABOUT YOU BITE ME?" he huffs out, full chest of pride for being able to say that!

Uzi will be proud.

OKAY, THAT WASN'T WHERE HE THOUGHT THIS WOULD GO. instead of questions of mathematics and gentle guidance to the right answers, he was being asked if he had been... to the local selene space station? did space even have a distinct smell beyond deadly gases that could put someone out of commission for weeks?

❝ Nooo? Not that I'm aware of, at least, ❞ he admits, knowing he could very well have been if he had been, well, treated the same way he was when he first went up into space. ❝ But, uh... "The Space Station here smells a little off, yeah. You kinda have that same off scent, but...." It was enough to make a difference, but similar enough to have prompted Oliver to ask the question.

"What's it like? I bet it isn't as cool as the Selene Space Station. I bet ya got to see a whole lotta cool stuff, right?"

"Well sure, but, like, that's not a normal thing for humans. I think. Like ninety-percent sure," she says, shrugging. "Like, I can bite through metal, but my teeth are way sharper than yours. And if someone tries to bite me, I'll show 'em just how sharp they are."

That's right, she is a full arsenary arsenal. Wings, teeth, telekinesis, and a super-hot vampire boyfriend. What doesn't Uzi Doorman have? Aside from a good relationship with her parents.

"Damn right I am," she says, smirking to expose her pointed teeth. "You wanna know swear words, right? Like fuck? Damn? Bitch? I know swear words in languages where all the humans who spoke it died, so this is some pretty insider stuff. Or did you wanna know boring, non-swear words?"

Normally she wouldn't really bother with educational stuff, but he did stroke her ego a fair bit, so she's down for whatever.

It's the way Uzi says these words so easily that leaves Oliver surprised and shocked. Well, damn. "You know so many. It kind of feels criminal to actually hear it." He wonders if this is what Klaus meant when he said swearwords hurt his partner a little bit. Maybe not? Oliver wasn't in a lot of pain.

"You know, there's a kid in my school-- back home, I mean, who says a lot of stuff. Though I don't know if he knows more than you! I wanna learn 'em all, so if anyone tries to bite me or whatever, I can tell it to their face."

Uzi doesn't want to think about her dad's weird, door-related coping mechanisms, so she'll ignore that part of the conversation.

"See, that's the thing, no one's gonna actually bite you, probably. It's more just a cool thing you can say to let people know you're edgy and tough. Most people aren't gonna take it literally."

Present company excluded, of course.

"But if they try to bite me then they're stupid, because I'm literally made of metal. Also, because I have fangs and superpowers and a sick-as-hell railgun. If you wanna talk shit you gotta be able to back it up, you know?"

Oliver nods. "I get it, so it's just a saying." Well, he'll put that one in his vocabulary, then! "I bet there are people out there who can bite through metal." Like Oliver? Probably not.

"BUT, they really would be dumb to try you, huh? Heh, you're like a whole arsenary." That's probably not even the word, but to him it made total sense.

"Hey, Uzi. Can you teach me more cool words? I feel like you know more than I do, and I don't know a lot, y'know?"

PERMANENT PLOTTER FOR OLIVER~.

I think it's time I start to branch off on what I wanna do for Oliver. He's got a lot to learn, of course, being that he's still a kid. he's tasted freedom and what the world is like with all of its Normalcy like a world with a sun, clear blue skies, and all of that stuff. There are a lot of things I wanna explore with Oliver so here we go!

Both who have interacted with Oliver and have yet to interact with Oliver are welcome to engage in this plotter call! As long as our muses can vibe with mine and they can click in any way, as long as we can see our muses going somewhere, then yes!!! Please, consider meeting my baby boy.

By liking this, I'll safely assume that you're okay with me hopping into your IMS or DMS (if we have each other's Discord) for plotting reasons, Memes on memeday, and sponty starters. I usually already do these (not all the time), but if you'd prefer I ask first before I throw one at you, please let me know ahead of time. Under this read more are lists of relationships that I'm looking for.

Friends: Oliver has met a lot of people here since his arrival. He's met ALL kinds of people, really. A lot of them are acquaintances. Maybe he's met just a small handful of people he can call a friend, but I don't know. Anyway, Oliver is pretty easy to get along with, if anything a little different and there's nothing wrong with that. Oliver is the biggest hype boy, so you'll always have him in your corner hyping you up and supporting you.

Enemies: It's hard to make an enemy out of Oliver. Even if you're a monster out there terrorizing people and such, he only does what he does because it is part of his job. It's expected of him. He doesn't really hold any ill feelings toward monsters as he ALSO understands that it is what they do. Anyway, to make an enemy out of Oliver may be a challenging one, actually. Still, it's not impossible. Oliver considers the people he's gotten close to as his family and Oliver is a family boy. So, the quickest way to get on his shitlist is to mess with them.

Sparring Partner: Oliver LOVES sparring. he loves anything that gets his blood pumping like exercises and stuff. Whatever chance he gets, he's always looking for a sparring partner, so if you feel this is right up your character's ally, hit him up! He's always going to say yes to sparring.

Hunt: Oliver is good at tracking things down with his nose. He may be capped right now, but yeah! If you're having a pest problem whether it's monsters or just evil-doers or what have you, Oliver is your guy for hire. In his world, he was a monster hunter anyway, so hunting in general is his thing!

Mentor: There are maybe a small select few he'd call a mentor back home, but here in Spirale he hasn't come across any yet. Maybe Garry. Anyway, he's still a child. He is going to need help being guided and nurtured into a wonderful person. There's always something to learn and there's a shit ton that Oliver does not know about the world and overall just anything in general!

Found family: Garry is so far his found family. He found her all on his own and he's so happy to have them! As I've mentioned in I believe the beginning of (enemies section), Oliver is a family kid. He loves the idea of being surrounded by family whether blood or not. He'll do anything for those he deems super close to him.

Crush/Romance: This goes hand in hand with romance. THIS does not give an open invitation to be a creep. I will block on sight. Anyway, Oliver is a kid. he's 16 and he's going to have crushes here and there and he's going to one day meet someone where he wants to spend his entire life with and that's okay! When it comes to crushes or falling in love with someone, it can be a one-sided thing. Anyway, this isn't really something I'm focusing on. I just thought I'd throw this in there.
