You never realize just the kinds of destruction water can do on something until you see the aftermath first hand. It may be a little over a year since the floods last year but there are still SO many houses and businesses that are left vacant and half gone from the water. Living in Denver, you don't really have to worry about the wildfires or floods or tornadoes that the mountains and outskirts of CO do. While visiting Estes Park today I saw first hand just how powerful water is and just how scary it can be. Even though I wasn't there to have to experience it.. It still terrifies me.. I cannot imagine just having to up and leave my home without anything but my pets and family and possibly coming back to nothing. Losing everything.. It is so scary. I really hope that everything for everyone who lost something or everything gets back on stable ground and can restart again soon. It has been a year and there are STILL houses and road left untouched from last year.
