Gilen chucked at Olivia's teasing, though, there was a blush coating his cheeks at his previous actions. He’d tensely awaited her reaction once he’d let go of her hand and stepped back, fidgeting with his necklace. But now that she hadn’t chased him away, he finally relaxed and stood a bit taller than before. It’d already taken quite a bit of time spent building up confidence to even approach her, let alone doing the actual hand kissing. The weight was clearly lifted off his shoulders once she reacted positively.

Bold, however, definitely wasn’t a word he would use to describe himself and nearly gently objected to it. But a compliment was a compliment. Plus, he should work on giving himself more credit. Instead, he said, “If you’re saying I’m a good man, then thank you. Hope you didn’t mind me doing that, though...”
