PART 1 On Friday 6th of March I had the honour and blessing to share the stage with not 1 not 2 but 3 powerful and incredible #FLOPoets . Not just as an open micer but as a FEATURE poet, for the first time in my career being asked to feature was a big thing but to be asked to fearure along side some of the many people that I seek inspiration from....well you can understand the energy that was within me. Something many people won't know is that even before I did my introduction even before I was able to speak I was engulfed with whoops claps and cheers and I like to keep it more and more real I was buzzing one minute then holding back tears the next then laughing deep from the belly #whaaaa 😂 I can't explain it I can't fully explain why I felt overwhelmed with emotions (some could argue from what I learnt it's because I'm a Pisces) but the one thing I can explain and that I'm so ever greatful for is the opportunity. The chance to have stood alongside some of the most spoken and most talented poets is a blessing. TBC....
