no one gets them like me 🙏🙏 (bc no one else ships it) flori as a gnome was raised to see the value in all life, contrasted with rayni who was always seen as worthless by society. flori is probably one of the most honest characters in the series, meanwhile rayni has never had anyone she could trust, manipulated by gisela and the neverseen. flori is passive compared to the rest of the bodyguards, whereas rayni is constantly trying to convince sophie to make more offensive moves. flori is a defender and rayni is a fighter does this make any sense. sword and shield.

also the plant/light symbolism!! helping eachother grow and filling in the missing pieces do you get me!!

if you don't mind sharing, what's your florayni coffee shop au about 👀

its nottt very in depth soo bear🐻 with me but im thinking. calla owns a small cafe (maybe like? the panakes cafe or smth as a name.) and flori, her grandniece, works there with with her + mitya (another gnome - shes supposed to be a good friend of calla's according to the wiki)

but! oh no. mitya is leaving (maybe retiring? if shes a friend of callas, shes probably old) and they need someone to replace her! which is where rayni comes in.

this is where it gets really silly but i think itd be fun if rayni was an ex gang member. she was formerly associated w the neverseen, a well-known crime group, but she left them and is trying to start a new life here, without anyone finding out about her past and without the neverseen finding her.

not sure totally how yet but i think tam wouldve been the one to convince her to leave, like he does in canon, and she lives w him and the alenefar-endals (they're the only ones who know abt her past). tam and linh are also friends w the gnomes in canon, so i think it'd make sense if they were friends with flori? maybe they're cafe regulars. anyway im p sure tam would talk her up to flori and calla and get her the job at the cafe, despite her lack of any resume or normal job skills.

anywayy thats the setup. as for actual plot im not 100% on that. at all. theres a lot of angst potential though w flori finding out abt her past, the neverseen finding rayni and maybe killing calla as some sort of revenge? rip calla #deadineveryuniverse😔 anyway i dont really know how a coffee shop au works did i do it right
