turns out i sort of drew fanart for @florbe-triz‘s delinquent au and then promptly forgot about it

“Why,” he murmurs, his voice somehow incredibly calm yet bubbling with emotion beneath the surface, “shouldn’t we use this power? We were born with it, and it makes us better than everyone else. We shouldn’t just let that advantage go to waste.”

Reigen twists around the best he can whilst being telekinetically held in the air and tries to face the teen. “You might have this power, but what good is it if you’re not using it to contribute to society? All you’re using your skills for is petty thievery and harassment; you may have special abilities but when it comes to actions you’re just a -“ he’s cut short on account to his face being suddenly mashed into the pavement.

Reigen tries to recoil as the kid begins to grind his face into the dirt, but realizes he still can't move.“I don’t want to be lectured by some non-esper fraud who claims to be a psychic.”

Reigen wants to give some snappy retort, but he can’t seem to move even his lips -- the kid must still be using his powers to hold Reigen down. The little brat leans in, so Reigen can just see him out of the corner of his eyes, and gives a shit eating smirk.

“I see you finally don’t have anything to say.” He straightens his back, still not lifting his psychic hold on Reigen, and turns to the other kid, who had simply been watching the entire altercation.  “Hey Hanazawa, let’s get out of here.”

The blonde one - Hanazawa - snaps to attention and nods furiously. “Alright Mob - but are you sure you want to leave him there after only that? We could rough him up a little more-”

Mob waves his hand in a fashion that seems way too carefree for a kid who just beat an adult man into the dirt. “I don’t wanna waste my time on him. Let’s go.”

Only until the two are out of Reigen’s range of vision does he realize he can move again.
