2020 vs 2022

Happy primary day.

Ultimately it was decided in smoke-filled rooms and plague-infested polls

And now we're supposed to bend the knee to the oligarchs who spent the year sabotaging our democracy in plain sight

Fellow Floridian Democrats, please consider voting for Bernie in the primary.

There are a million reasons why I support him over Biden, but here are a few particularly Floridian ones:

✅ Bernie has used his popularity to shine a spotlight on how poorly Disney treats its employees

✅ He’s spent his career fighting to expand social security (whereas Biden spent his career trying to cut it)

✅ He has the most comprehensive immigration reform policy, and (unlike Biden) he wants to abolish ICE

✅ Our state is falling into the ocean, and Bernie’s environmental plan is the best one we’ve got (whereas Biden’s plan is an afterthought that got an F from the Sunrise Movement)

✅ Bernie’s base contains incredible numbers of young voters, Latinx voters, Muslim voters, and independent voters, and we’ll need those blocs to defeat Trump (whereas Biden is only reaching out to voters who are already a sure bet)

✅ And best of all? Bernie’s a cranky Jewish grandpa!

You know how frightening they get at the deli when there’s a hair in the coleslaw, or when the rye toast is too dark?

Polling booths were nice and spaced out, and volunteers had stickers layed out for grab and go when done voting!

Also I took a chance on Target since I was already out of the house and managed to score a 4 pack of toilet paper (they only had 8 left and were limiting to 1 pack per customer...with security presence!). I had been actively looking everyday since last Thursday for toilet paper...
