Exploring Italy
It's our second weekend here and the traveling has already begun! This Saturday (2/4/2012) my roommates and I woke up bright and early and after a fiasco in the train station, finally boarded the train to Pisa. It was absolutely frigid outside but we sucked it up and explored the tiny city. We were all starving so we got lunch then went straight to the leaning tower. We looked like goofy tourists, but I guess it's times like these where it's acceptable, AND I managed to take some amazing pictures!
After relaxing after our long day we agreed we were going to, yet again, go out for some drinks. Due to extreme embarrassment from the night before, where I sang Brittany Spears karaoke and lost my voice, I knew I was going to take it easy. We got to the bar and out of the corner of my eye I saw a girl I went to High School with... ya know... just casually in the same bar as me...in a different country! SO BAZAAR!! It was so great to see her!
Tonight's the Superbowl and since one of my roommates is a huge Patriots fan we are headed out again tonight! I still can't stop thinking about this weekend and how this is all really happening. I seriously look forward to traveling as much as possible while I'm here!
