Okay so what is the secret with growing flowers? I wanna have more flowers but they either don't grow for me, die as soon as they get out of the soil, or in rare instances of success, they come out... wrong. For example, I saw a beautiful blue flower I liked in the garden, and sneakily waited for it to go to seed, and stole some seeds. I planted it in the autumn, one plant had a bad meeting with frost and almost died, another one did well. And now in spring, they both opened, but. Only one is blue flower. Other one is pale pink. I am not a crazy person to shit on a pale pink flower, but, excuse me? I was planting the blue flower? And the blue one is the one who almost died of frost so it's very smol and only made few flowers. Is it just, a gamble? When you plant flowers? You never know what color you're gonna get? People are okay with this?
And don't get me started on the purple flower I also wanted which refused to grow in summer, refused to grow in autum, winter, and now finally, planted in spring, grew 2cm, only to forever stay that small in size and then started dying off without any explanation, while I kept making sure it didn't lack water or fertilizer or light or anything. Are flowers just a whole new difficulty of level to grow? Vegetables are like lvl 1 but flowers are lvl 22? Except for sunflower which will grow regardless of being planted.
