since maggie uses vehicles as metaphors the bike makes me kinda sad. like ronan gets his car from his dad. and he is more intuitive and passionate while lacking technical Knowledge. Gansey has the most magnificent car,from the outside. inside, it works in spurts and breaks down often. blue uses her Familys car, and not necessarily needing her own as she stays in close vicinity of foxway. she joins gansey in his plight, getting her own Pig, which Shows how ganseys plight becomes hers.(1/2)
(2/2) And Adam gets the Hondayota, which symbolises how he wants to go somewhere but has to rely on an old piece of junk. In OPAL, it breaks down while he waits for replies from his college applications .AND THEN he gets the motorbike. An elegant, possibly the fastest way to get where he wants as he is succeeding and from where he is, it seems like it’ll get only easier. Since Ronan dreamed the bike, i feel like it symbolizes how Ronan feels About Adams future. Also bikes tend to be for 1 person
Stiefvater sure does love her car metaphors, doesn’t she. The examples you gave, plus others. Like, Kavinsky constantly dreams up new cars for himself after he destroys them bc he has no regard for others and treats everything like disposable objects. The Gray Man uses one of Kavinsky’s dream cars bc he’s practical and it can’t be traced. Declan and his boring dependable Volvo.
In regards to the motorcycle, it would represent Adam as Ronan sees him, “elegant and rough and ready.” A sleek vehicle able to get to where it’s going without trouble but with a hint of danger. I can see where you’d be sad if you think it means Adam will leave Ronan behind. However, since it’s dreamed by Ronan, I see it as representing both of them. Two people who enjoy a bit of a thrill as they get to where they’re going, together. While a motorcycle is an inherently independent vehicle (like Adam is an independent individual), it can fit two people. It’s just a lot more intimate than a car ;)
pls may i ask, what do you think of suave!loki and uncool!thor.A) loki works with thor and notices his co-worker with coke-bottle glasses, jorts and nose-spray always staring at him. at first it's weird but kinda cute. thor leaves him gifts and blushes furiously or gets super happy for the rest of the day when loki praises him. So when loki has a bad break up thor finally gets the courage to make a move B) loki needs to give him a make-over and they spend time together and fall in love
Please let me know we get a moment where Thor takes his shirt off and he’s just ripped and Loki drops whatever he’s holding because how the hell was Thor hiding that?

Ha! I don’t think I could write the pet au, but I go back and forth about a teaching au. (Couldn’t do kindergarten, but mainly because I have so much material about teaching secondary education and nothing about primary education, it would be a waste not to use it.)
