they kind of feel bad for flowery being stuck with someone so crass. but, seeing how he is used to flowey, they leave the issue be. it’s honestly less about flowery and more how they react to flowey lmao. such feistiness bundled in a small flower!
yellow and mettaton's friendship is an unexpected but lovable one. when mettaton locks in and does alphys’ plan, yellow goes like “oh ya were tryin’ t’ kill me?? i’m so sorry for ruinin’ ya plan-t, friend :((” and mettaton is like “oh my god i can’t kill this guy… i’ll take the tinier human’s soul.” blue would be so shocked but proud to see yellow on tv. when mettaton meets him, he’s like “ooh? so you're his ‘dearest blue’ i keep hearing about ;)”. blue’s face is immediately covered by a butterfly.
it's an unfortunate point in their adventures. it’s so far into this au yet it’s so daunting to think about… oof.
flowey would get sick of their moping. it would be unexpectedly very kind of him to do that. the only place that would have sunlight is the area before the ruins and new home, specifically the throne room. there is something melancholic about these sunlit areas. these flowers lived and thrived under the sunlight but haven’t actually been under it. the majority of monsters don't know what the sun looks like yet dream of it. so, to have a place to catch its light, it really is meaningful.
