I love how Flor started to look at Jaz in a totally different way from the moment Jaz told her that she liked her. A whole new world full of possibilities and desires - desires she didn't even know she had (oh god the denial was so strong) - opens up to Flor right in that moment, and from that moment on (up until Flor actually leaves Dani and gives in to her feelings for Jaz) Flor looks at Jaz as if she’s trying to read something, to figure out something, to realize something, it’s like she’s searching for something in Jaz’s eyes. Every time she’s alone with Jaz, after that confession scene, Flor's eyes say “I wonder what it would be like to be with her”.

So well stated! Also, how the hell does Viole nail the same questioning look in four different scenes? Well, until it slides into pure thirst in the fourth gif.

I love that the way she looks at Jaz changes. Viole is fucking amazing! Her acting is so subtle and so well thought I just- She knows Flor so well and the way she can convey so much through her eyes is amazing. Jaz’s confession made something click in Flor and it’s only natural that Flor started to see Jaz in a “different” way because of it. It’s all in her eyes, she sees Jaz in a “maybe we could be something” way. From that moment she starts to see Jaz as a possibility and she starts to realize what she really wants and who she really loves. And yes! I love how Flor looks at Jaz in the fourth gif, it’s an “I want to know what it’s like to kiss her” look and it’s just perfect! It’s always the same questioning look but at the same time there’s something more to it every time...

Both, Viole and Juli, were so good with the looks it was glorious to watch. And this is something I will always love about Flozmin, both Jaz and Flor say so much through their eyes that you don’t need words to understand what they’re thinking or feeling when they look at each other.

this is just me being curious but why do you like the kiss in episode 109? i like it just bc of the fact that Jaz couldn't resist when Flor started to kiss her, and i think Juli tried to reflect that in the scene but it ended up looking a lil bit weird? lol i know she felt super guilty bc of Elena so of course she was conflicted af lol

why do I like the kiss from ep 109 so much…okay, this is an easy question and I have the answer but the hard part is gonna be to turn my incoherent italian thoughts into coherent english words so bear with me a minute.

First thing I love about it is the part leading up to the kiss and the way everything is set up. If you think about the fact that Flor made Jaz come with her to Lu’s house because she knew they were gonna be alone and basically because she just wanted to seduce her and kiss her…I just…isn’t it amazing? Flor I applaud you! And this is like a Flor thing, she’s always so fucking contorted with the way she does things, she has the ability to set up a whole situation just to do one simple thing and I find that so sweet. And Jaz can always tell when Flor is doing this weird thing so it’s even more adorable.

The whole time they’re at Lu’s, before the kiss, Jaz is so lost lol she doesn’t know what to do, she keeps touching her neck, her chest, avoiding looking at Flor in the eyes. I think she could clearly read Flor’s intentions and was just worried that if Flor kissed her or made a move on her she would not be able to say no and she was SO right. The way Jaz starts to go towards the door makes me laugh so much because she’s so not sure about it hahaha she’s like “it’s best if we leave” but then by the way she walks and by the way she slows down immediately as soon as Flor starts going after her you can tell she doesn’t wanna leave.

I love that as soon as Flor touches Jaz, as soon as she grabs her wrists, Jaz just stops fighting, she just gives in. She takes a deep breath, Flor says “come on, stay, stay” and Jaz looks at her lips and that’s it, she’s fucked, she knows she’s gonna let Flor do whatever she wants. (By the way I just LOVE the way Viole delivered all those whispered “dale, quedate, dale” ah, just so good)

And now to the kiss! THE NOSE BUMP! Oh my god don’t let me start about how cute that is and also Flor is a fucking tease I love her. Jaz is at her mercy in that moment and Flor knows it. After the nose bump is Jaz the one to get closer, she’s the one to move forward (it’s really subtle) she’s just like “bitch just kiss me please I can’t anymore”. And I just love this bit so much because they are enjoying it, they are enjoying the situation, the teasing, the flirting. Jaz can pretend all she wants but bitch was turned on from the start and she was loving every second of it. The way they breathe into each other’s mouths after that first kiss….uuuuuuuuUUUUUuUUU I hate the music in ep 109 much better the music they put in the flashback of that scene in ep 110. Then of course Flor JUMPING ON JAZ just getting as close as possible…I love it, I love the kisses where they kiss with their whole body (does this make sense?). Flor  wants to feel Jaz’s body against hers and I think that’s Flor’s way of letting Jaz know that she wants her not just romantically but also sexually. And this is another reason why I love this kiss so much. Moving on… I love the way Flor touches Jaz’s face, neck, the way she grabs Jaz’s head, the way her hands hold Jaz’s face guiding her during the kiss. Amazing. Then, when we come back from the cut…uuuUUuu, I love the way Flor is pulling Jaz from her neck and the way she touches her shoulder sliding her hand down Jaz’s arm. And then…the thing I probably love most about this kiss is Jaz’s moan after the kiss. biiiiiiiitch that’s like the best thing. And her voice after that is so. fucking. low. oh god. And here we have one of the many examples of “turned on Jazmín del Río” who needs to keep her eyes closed a little longer to collect herself. I love that we have Jaz who has to take a moment to cool down and on the other hand we have Flor who keeps teasing her, getting closer, looking at her lips. If they weren’t at Lu’s house they would have probably fucked or at least done something more than kissing for sure.

And you know, I think neither of them felt guilty about that kiss. Their conversation about that is something like “we should maybe feel guilty but deep down we don’t (?)”. Flor is like “I feel kinda guilty towards Elena” and Jaz is like “You? I should be the one feeling guilty”…see? Flor “kinda feels” Jaz “should feel” so, at the end they don’t feel guilty about it. And I think that they don’t feel guilty about it because Jaz is not really WITH Elena and she doesn’t really want to make things work between them, she just wants Flor, and Flor knows it. Also, they both want each other so much that everyone just fades away really. Last thing, I love Jaz’s reaction to Flor asking “and what are you feeling?” lol it’s so fast because Lu comes in but Jaz is like “well fuck, the only thing I know now is that I’m wet” hahahahaah

Aaaaand I guess this is it :) I can say that the reason why that’s one of my favorite kisses has to do with a lot of things like the mood of the scene, the situation, the point of the story, Flor’s intentions, the fuel that started the kiss, the motivations behind it, the sexual tension, the emotional charge of the scene… it has to do with much more than just what their lips are doing.

Alright. So! I'm going to try to explain these parallels first. Lol. Probably going to take a few asks. I kind of want to "dedicate" them to Ray and Guardian Rock because their conversations reminded me of the parallels. The first one involves Dani. Ray and I were talking about how Jaz, especially in regards to Dani, always tried to make sure Flor was taken care of and treated better. She always put herself out there to make that happen for Flor. Even if she couldn't do it herself. That's one!

The second parallel I was reminded of because of a conversation Ray said she and Guardian Rock had about consent. They were saying how consent is really important to Jaz when it comes to Flor. She would always wait for Flor to make the first move and she knew when to push and when to pull back. Her priority was making sure Flor felt safe and comfortable and at ease. I just couldn’t agree more with their thoughts about both subjects. I thought these parallels would make them happy! How about you?

Maggie!!! I finally made all the gifsets and I feel like I can answer and talk about all of this. First of all tagging @guardianrock​ and @strym81​ because yes, and here are the gifsets: Dani/Jaz - Jaz1 - Jaz2 - Jaz3

I love the Dani parallel because you can clearly see how wrong he is for Flor and how RIGHT Jaz is for Flor. I just considered the scenes where Jaz defends Flor, or tells Dani to treat her better and to not hurt her but there are so many Dani/Flor scenes where he doesn’t listen to her at all and that further proves how wrong he is for her. 80% of their relationship was Flor telling Dani she didn’t like the things he did for her and he saying he loved doing those things for her. And the other 20% was him saying he loved her despite her problem and Flor telling him that his way of thinking was fucking wrong. He never listened to her and I feel like he never really liked her, I think he liked the idea he had of her because when Flor stops doing what he thinks she should do he just treats her poorly all the time. He is stupid and I hate him.

Jaz priority was always to make Flor happy and comfortable, yes. I love the way she lets Flor set the pace of their relationship. And yes, as you said, Jaz knew when to push and when to pull back, especially when to push. She didn’t go on tiptoes around Flor and she didn’t say “yes” all the time. I love how Jaz knew exactly what to do, when to say “yes” and when to say “no, I’m not doing it like this, I’m not hiding, I’m not ashamed and I will not lose myself in order to be with you.” This is one of the things that I love most because it made their relationship balanced, they were always equals.

I just saw the autostraddle result for the top 4 kisses and flozmin was not able to make it.. I must say and i may sound bias but i think.. With all the kiss flozmin shared i could definitely say they share one of the most realistic way and frequency of kiss shared by typical couple.. I never saw an f/f pairing as natural as them maybe besides carmilla and laura. They made the characters so real that you just want to me flor in person or witness jaz doing what she does best. Just feeling sad..

okay, I have STRONG feelings about this, here we go. First of all I knew we weren’t gonna win because you know…language is a barrier unfortunately. Now, the thing that makes me sad and bothers me a little is the fact that that competition was a “best first kiss” competition, and Flozmin’s kiss was an AMAZING first kiss. Not just for the kiss in itself, but for how it happened, for everything that happened before that kiss, for the fact that Jaz waited for Flor to kiss her, for the fact that it was a first kiss that came from months and months of longing. Flor being so bold, Jaz being so so so gentle. It was “the best first kiss” not only because it was well shot, amazingly acted, super fucking long, no, it was “the best first kiss” because the emotional charge of it was fucking out of this world.
