The morning after a horribly painful night’s sleep Stuffy/runny nose Hot itchy eyes Body aching An ever so slight elevation in my temp ~ This is what the flu looks like ~ How do I know it’s the flu? ~ Number one sign is I can pinpoint to the minute when I felt sick. Yesterday at 4:13p I got up to make dinner & by 4:15p I felt completely like 💩. I've been so careful not to go anywhere unless I had to to keep from getting sick and all that. So because it was the closest place to get something to eat I went to the local bar of which I hardly ever go because I don't drink. But dang I was hungry and wanted some cooked food. So I head over and order a burger and a couple of pop's to go. I stood there by myself for a bit just waiting but I could tell it would take a few minutes so I sat down. I conversed with some neighbors at the next table over and then I caught the scent. Someone there was sick. I thought to myself "Crap!" because you know if you catch that scent there is a good chance you just got whatever that sick person was carrying. I'm pretty upset about it but I'm going to take my vitamin C and drink some hot tea. And stay away from my tanks. I need to do some water changes but I've kept up with them fairly well so I'm going to just top them off and keep hands out of the tanks until I know for sure if I've caught something. I see the doc in a few day's fortunately. So I'll get a Covid test and for whatever else they can test me for. I'm not a happy camper. I was laid out all day today again because it's been a busy week muddin wall's and it really wears me out. The weather also changed from sunny to rainy so that always throws me for a loop. You know I'm happy I've got all my parts and that I look fairly normal for an old CrabDragon. But it's just a skin sack over a bad set of lungs a rickety back and weakened immune system. So though I may look pretty handsome for a Goblin King 👹 I'm tellin ya I don't feel so pretty in the joints and lungs. And this leather covered barometer is tellin ya there is a good chance I caught a flu bug. Let's hope it's nothing of the seriously viral infectious half dead funktovideous types of sicknesses. And that it's just the change in the weather that's making me feel flu like. Well. POLITE NOTICE With the Flu/Sickness Bug being rife at present, resulting in the closure of the local secondary school due to its severity and how fast it is spreading. We politely request and remind customers that coming to the barbers because you have a day off because you are sick, isn’t the best choice! Resting and self quarantine is. Being a place that sees many people; germs can be spread easily - we really don’t want it, nor do we wish to pass it on to our customers many of which are young, venerable or elderly and could cause serious health effects. We have had quite a few customers coming in of recent, to tell us when they’ve sat down in the chair that they have been really poorly for the last couple of days with flu/cold symptoms - I personally feel this very selfish. Please do not be offended but will be asking people to delay their service until they are better. Obviously no one likes being poorly, but time off due to preventable illnesses is financially damaging to our team too. Whilst we appreciate each and every customers loyalty and custom, please think before you come in, if you are sick, give it a miss! We love you, but not your germs! Thank you in anticipation for your understanding and support, and we hope those effected feel better, especially for the Christmas break.
