I just experienced what it felt like to launch my tech start-up Fluencr.com at South by Southwest Interactive. This was something that I honestly have always heard about but never thought I’d actually be apart of. You see being an ex-NFL athlete, I came from a world of ambition driven aggression, jaw-dropping contact and of course the party life! However, starting a tech company and experiencing SXSW really is no different. The same ambition I had that drove me to the top of the NFL ranks is the same ambition that has allowed me to stay disciplined and driven to create a concept, mold the business model and launch it at the coolest Interactive festival in the world. In regards to the jaw dropping contact, everyday at SXSW I made contact with brilliant minds from all over the world that shared my same drive and determination. Oh and the party life. Quiet as kept, the parties at SXSW were some of the best I’ve been too. Imagine parties with the swag of Jay Z with the minds of Mark Zuckerberg all mixed together in Austin, Tx. So in closing, my NFL experience was a precursor for my SXSW experience. Both experiences evolved endless ambition, making meaningful contacts and being able to unwind and enjoy the parties!
