the lost kitten...
John was taking a walk in the rain. No umbrella. just a coat. He was feeling very drained and heartbroken after his girlfriend broke up with him. He kept his head down and looked at his feet, wondering what he did so wrong for their relationship to end. John was going to cross the street until he saw a missing kitten poster. It read, "MISSING KITTEN. NAME: STARRY. BREED: SIBERIAN. IF YOU FIND ME, CALL 709-894-7283 AND YOU WILL EARN A $200 DOLLAR REWARD."
John looked thoughtfully at the sign, remembering he saw a cute little kitten that looked just like that one. He came to realize it was the kitten! He remembered seeing it last near the coffee shop he always went to so he quickly dashed off, his speed paying off as he worked in the military. He saw the little kitten sitting under one of the tables outside, shivering, wet, and frightened. John read its collar and it had the same information as the sign so he gently cooed it over. "There there little one... it's okay, im not going to hurt you..." John said in a soft tone, much different from the gruff tone he usually has after being in the military for years.
The kitten mewls quietly, taking cautious steps towards John. John smiles softly, picking the kitten up as if he was handling some fine, porcelain China. He walks inside the coffee shop and asks for a few napkins to dry this cute fluff ball. "I'll take you home with me for tonight... then tomorrow I'll call your owner because she is probably really worried about you..." He said softly. The kitten meowed quietly and nuzzled against John's hand, already warming up to him. John's heart melts and takes her home, keeping her warm in his coat as he walks down to his neighborhood. His night ends up feeling better, just because of a little, lost fur ball...
