chaorelance: For DR1? The game or equivalent, honestly.

fluffghost-is-a-sideblog: DR1 anime is bland at best and follows the first game, DR3 is an absolute dumpster fire, but is an entirely separate storyline from the games, technically taking place both simultaneously before and after the first two games. Neither will cover the entirety of the series for you, and DR3 might leave you lost if you haven't played the games.

tbh, when i picked up Parsee, I had absolutely no true knowledge about her character either. I'd known roleplayed her before elsewhere (i was tossed her character, and that group didn't follow canon either, so i had 0% knowledge of who she actually was or what i was doing), so starting up her blog was basically a step-by-step exploration/2 year research binge, since i actually got to like... do things on my own terms.

Hahaha, let me tell you it’s actually a joy to see there’s a number of us who winged it. I particularly feel you on the “step-by-step exploration” statement, since, as stated in the confession post, I mostly just improvised and hoped it either hit a mark or was charmingly passing enough that people would just give me a pass, while vigorously checking wiki pages and other such research material to see exactly what to expect, what I could say to play it right and not stonewall it, etc.

By the way, out of curiosity what made you grab a Lampert/Chandelure blog? Was it Sats influence? o3o

I don’t know if I’d call it “influence”, per se. We’d set up interaction between my Patchouli and her Poke-witch, involving letting Bridgette into the library, and establishing a link between her house and Voile, so she can come and go as she pleased.

At some point in this process, I decided that a Pokemon would make for a suitable payment for all this that Patchouli was offering for her. Careful consideration (involving a good amount of Shikimi fanart) made a Litwick evolution the most fitting choice, and I decided I liked Lampent more than Chandelure. I passed that on to Sats and Bri acquired one for her.

So now Patchouli has a Lampent that goes around doing its own thing that I gave a blog to.
