Here’s a piece that I performed last spring, filmed over the summer, and will be performing again this November. I adore this piece with all my heart, and I hope you will too!

Updates
Hello everyone! My life post graduation has gone a little crazy. I did a residency! I went on tour! At this point I’m actually working a music related job (!!) - I work as a Teaching Artist for the Seattle Symphony, and I also work the box office. It’s not the most perfect fit, but I am so very grateful to be working for such a fantastic organization. I get to teach music and talk about great works of music.
So what I’m getting at is that after college I DID get a job in music. Immediately. It’s possible! So if you’re feeling like you don’t know if it’s possible or you’re feeling hopeless about the music job market - there are options out there. You’ll find something if you work hard enough.
On a different note, I am planning on posting videos on here veeeery soon of some projects that I’m currently doing. Keep an eye out! (or two). In the meantime I’ll be posting some of the videos I did from the spring until now.
I’m excited to get back into this community as I’ve missed you all. <3
Cheers,
Fluterants
I’m leaving on a plane to go perform in Argentina 4 days from now and I juuuust got an email saying my flights have changed and I no longer have assigned seats. I haven’t even started traveling and it’s already a clusterfuck. Hooray.

Hello followers!
Its a new year and I want to know: what do you want to see from my blog?
More jam videos?
Q&A videos?
Vlogs?
Practice selfies?
Dank memes????
I’m still going to be regularly posting my Sunday videos, but I would love your thoughts.
Cheers and happy new year!
I’m unveiling a new project this week! This is what I’ve been plotting, practicing, and recording for over the past few months. Get hype!
Sometimes you can do everything right, and still fail. That’s life.
And in this case, you can practice a concerto since June, have your pianist agree to play it since August, have your recital hearing in two weeks - and find out that your pianist forgot to learn it and blames you for not reminding them to do their job. And then, when trying to figure out your options, you’re told you either have to replace the concerto with something the pianist can actually play, or postpone your graduation. Welcome to my week. Happy fucking weekend.
I have a ton of music to work on for my master’s recital, but since I’m done with juries for this year, I have like - zero motivation to practice. :/
Update!
I haven’t been super active lately, and I’m sorry about that. I’ve been incredibly busy - between my recital, classes, masterclasses, and everything else, I just haven’t had the time. In other news I’m in Denver giving a concert tonight, then it’s back to Seattle in the morning. Also, my book: Journey to the East, Flute and Piccolo Solos was chosen as a finalist in the NFA New Publications competition! I’m really thrilled that my first published work made it so far. I can’t wait to see what happens in the future, because don’t you worry, I’ve got more publications on the way.
