The following is from the G 7th District NTM 49/13.
Anclote River LT 9 (LLNR 26180) is destroyed. The aid is broken 2ft above the waterline and is a hazard to navigation. A TRLB with Fl Q G, characteristics is set 5 yards channelward in position 28-10-47.057N/082-48-14.647W. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.
Manasota Key, Lemon Bay, hazard to navigation
The following is from the CG 7th District NTM 48/13.
The Coast Guard received a report of Lemon Bay Channel DBN 40 (LLNR 57625) is destroyed. The remains of the pile is a hazard to navigation. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.
Apalachicola River, sunken vessel
The 40-foot F/V IRISH TOWN III has been reported sunk in the vicinity of GIWW, Mile 350.0, EHL, in approximate position 29-43-43.0N 084-58-
48.0W. The wreck is reportedly awash with approximately 5 feet of the pilothouse visible and is marked with 2 strobe lights. Mariners are urged
to use caution in the area.
Treasure Island Causeway Bridge, GIWW mile 119.0, proposed change in schedule
The following is from the Nov 13 Federal Register. SUMMARY: The Coast Guard proposes to change the operating schedule that governs the Treasure Island Causeway Bridge, mile 119.0, Treasure Island, Florida. The Treasure Island Bridge is a double-leaf bascule bridge that provides a vertical clearance of 21 feet in the closed position. The Treasure Island Bridge crosses the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway at mile 119.0, Treasure Island, Pinellas County, Florida. Changing the schedule from on signal to three times an hour during the week and twice an hour on the weekends and Federal holidays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. will reduce vehicle traffic issues caused by the bridge openings. Between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. the bridge will continue to open only on signal.
DATES: Comments and related material must reach the Coast Guard on or before February 11, 2014.
Naples, Doctors Pass, dredging
The following is from the Cg 7th District NTM 41/13. Orion Marine Construction Inc. will commence mechanical dredging operations on or around October 13 2013. Operations will occur in Doctors Pass, Naples. While dredging, the vessels will be displaying lights and dayboards as required, and may temporally impede the flow of traffic through the channel. The dredge will work on Channel 78 and monitor VHF Channel 16. Primary operations will be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A submerged pipeline will be utilized from the dredge to the discharge area. The path of the pipeline will be properly marked IAW USCG 33 CFR 88.15. Buoys with "Caution Submerged Pipeline" will mark the submerged line. Mariners are urged to use extreme caution in the area, transit at their slowest speed to minimize wake, and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made.
Tampa Bay Entrance, Manatee River, hazard to navigation
The following is from the CG 7th District NTM 36/13. Manatee River LT 12 (LLNR 21920) is destroyed. The remains of the pile are below the waterline and are a hazard to navigation. A TRLB with Fl Q R, 4M intensity is set 5 yards channelward in position 27-31-32.120N/082-38-26.297W. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.
