                             it’s an amount of generosity he still doesn’t even deserve. what had he anticipated? to be welcomed with open arms by a child he never even spoke a hello to. whether it’d been of his choice or not, he’d abandoned the boy, and now reappeared as if it might fix all the wrong in his son’s life. how can so many unfortunate things happen to the god’s child in those years? “ friends? — friends is... understandable. and certainly better than nothing at all. i’d just like to be there for you. no matter how late i might be... and hopefully — even if it’s forty years from now — you’ll forgive me. ”

                      he was FAR from drunk — one should think that dionysus of all people ought to be able to hold his drinks if that’s what he wished to do. and right now, he needs to have a mostly sober conversation with the mortal who has captured his attention for the last MONTH. at first, he’d thought it to be mere attraction, but after observing... he can’t say it’s something so simple. he’s practically smitten with the man. who hasn’t a clue he exists. “ pfff, ‘m fine. — hm? my apartment? ” pauses for a moment before pointing up, a vague gesture to the top floor. “ ‘fraid i’m quite a few floors up. BUT, something told me that i needed good company. and i haven’t many friends. ”
