A Place to Stand

This is one of my favorite quotes about photography. It’s a quote that holds true no matter what style of photography you are interested in.

Finding the right place to be while shooting a picture is about angle and perspective. Composition and point of view. It can be on the ground laying on your back or perched atop a fence post out in a field. Wherever you need to be to find that perfect place all becomes clear when you finally arrive there.

A step to the left. A couple inches lower. Like a puzzle where the remaining pieces slip into place and the picture is complete.

My terminal gets me from the airport to bed in 1 second (because it’s right by my bed 😅) For the terminal scene I wanted to convey the fatigued mood of being constantly on the road. As usual I aimed to recreate the spacious airport terminal with my desk items and I attempted several light settings from overcast(this video), broad daylight, to dusk(final version).
