free to roam, see everything
Went on a serious sewing spree and made 5 patches, 3 eyeball bats and 2 conversation bubbles.
Gwen and Trevini with their respective flying eyes. Perrie, Trevini’s Flying Eye, is large, grumpy, and territorial of her and the areas he flies around in. So when a smaller Flying Eye finds their way to Gwen he gets huffy. I like to draw Trevini in a hoodie or a scarf, usually so Perrie can lay in it. But I like it as a connector between the main and mirror world as well for her clothes. They’re comfort items so of course she would choose something like that to wear in the mirror world.
Gwen and Labrum sketch with his Walking Lantern and Seika and Gwen where it looks like they’re in a family picture and Seika isn’t having it. Walking Lanterns originally came from the Mirror World but of all the inhabitants of the Mirror World somehow Walking Lanterns have been able to come across unhindered. They typically live around temples and aren’t an issue unless you pick them up by their handle. Doing so makes them go limp and not able to spit fire at you until you put them down. Then they chase you until you leave and somehow every other Walking Lantern finds out you picked one up by the handle and now you’re their enemy forever.
Cit did this by accident. Even with being Death if she stands there as a skeleton to be like OH LOOK YOU KILLED ME they keep spitting fire at her until she leaves. If she enters any temples that have Walking Lanterns she gets chased or just stands there on fire staring unamnused. She honestly forgot you’re not supposed to pick them up. She’s been around forever, to much to remember.
And then living candles, tall and small, Perrie and probably Labrum’s Walking Lantern. Living candles and Flying Eyes are actually considered service animals/creatures. The candles and Flying eyes are created by magic. One person is solely responsible for creating Flying Eyes and sets them free in the world to help people. Only problem is if you have one eye they think you need help..so in the case of Cyclopses or Cyclopse like creatures like Seika and Gwen you might get plagued with them. Gwen just has the one, but Seika somehow has a gathering. Though this may be because the creator of Flying Eyes is her brother and they just like her. Flying eyes help those with sight issue by being a literal eye once they bond with you. Or being bitey if someone bothers you. It can be disorienting since it’s a flying eye if they aren’t perched on. They’re typically little helpers around the house, bringing you things, protecting you, or yelling loudly if you’re about to fall into a hole.
Candles and Flying Eyes are both holy based. Walking Lanterns are Fire and hate based.
Labrum loves Flying Eyes even though they’re confused by his..no..acutal visible eye, and they typically try to squish on him, and he loves Walking Lanterns but he finds the candles amazing because..they’re tiny living candles. And he is a big candle man. You’ll hear him squeal if he sees them.
These guys are my babes
Trying to get more of a feel for Bossa’s face. He’s very emotive compared to Kajout. Just because he’s as soldier doesn’t mean this man doesn’t cry. If he sees an animal hurt he really freaks out. Luckily he’s friends with Kajout who has to deal with him when he literally loses it over a hurt animal. Kajout emotes more and feels more around animals but she also knows to stay calm around them when hurt.
Visible ears on Kasaeda aren’t a male thing. Visible outer ears are a recessive trait in some families. Mainland Beach Kasaeda have them more then Jungle Kasaeda. Because Bossa is a Jungle Kasaeda it’s usually assumed that he has blood from a mainlander.
Also a hair update for Seika maybe and earrings that I like drawing her with. Just means Perrie is going to use them to hang from.
These guys are my babes
Perrie either wants to help Seika because he thinks she’s missing an eye or he just really likes to nest on her. And then he called two other friends to help out.
Seika and Kajout are my grumpy spirit animal/people.
also Gwen being sad and Seika comforting her and Gwen screaming about something and Labrum saying whatever is scaring her isn’t as bad as a spider. He won’t find anything bad unless it’s a spider. Got issues? He’ll help. Spider issues? nope.
Mah babessss
