Of course, he continued to call it minor as the numbers that both their estimation, and information, nearly tripled on what they were facing. Not only that, but those added numbers had added weaponry. This group wasn’t as dumb as they had thought. They had underestimated the group of seemingly inexperienced traffickers. So maybe they’d rushed into this a little bit.
Now Tim was just wondering where they had overlooked the strings of information which would have told all and allowed them better preparation.
Or rather, one part of him was wondering. The other was taking advantage of the thrill of the fight, even if it was a thrill that came from knowing they were somewhat in trouble, and this would be in no way easy and had become more of a risk than it should have ever been.
The warehouse they’d slipped into was now on lockdown with their reinforcements called in and locked inside with the two bats. That idea, in itself, was almost laughable. Yes, their numbers had increased dramatically and they had taken the caution to arm themselves well.. but were they kidding? They thought this was enough to win a fight against a couple of bats that were part of the team that practically ran this city when it came to cleaning it up?
The bad guys always thought they sounded so ominous… Drawing his bo staff, he lowered himself into a ready position, offering a glance to his partner, but nothing more. They had a fight ahead of them, but that was always the case. In fact, he just considered it to be a test of how well he could, or could not, work with Dick after the amount of time that had passed since it had been regular occurrence.
Since he had actually trusted Dick.
Or maybe that's where the oversight had come from.
Maybe that was one of the reasons he was alright that this wasn't so open and shut, in a way.
....Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.”
