I'M GLAD.
Cries because hearing the voice of a friend you've known for years for the first time is waaaaay more emotional than I ever thought it would be.
Okay, I have to sleep now, but I just want to say something really quick:
I knew this was gonna be a shitty birthday. For one thing, I didn't want to turn 21 in the first place. Couple that with the fact that I'm at LEAST 1000km from any of the people I would have liked to spend my birthday with, and that my depression is making a (very unwelcome) return, and you've got the recipe for 'bad birthday', baby.
HOWEVER (and this is a big however), even with the upset knot in my stomach being a thing that's definitely there, the messages I have received today really and truly made a difference. A big one. And while I can't lie and say that I'm feeling 100% better, I can say that just knowing I have people out there that care enough to take time out of their day to wish me well makes me remember that it's not all so bad, and that I'm so blessed to know the amazing people I do.
I'd like to say so much more, but I'm actually fighting to keep my eyelids up now.
Just know that it means a lot to me. Maaaay or may not have cried happy tears. (If you know me at all, you'll know that I defs did cry. No question).
