Day 4 of Kyoshi Era 2024 for prompt "Distance makes the heart grow fonder"

-> This fic became a BEHEMOTH one-shot (for me at least!) and is now my longest one-shot to date, and I started it five days ago. Time really flies when you get deep into cross-over land. I won’t lie, I really struggled with this prompt, I had no good thoughts, but then my bestie recommended modern AU and it spiraled from there (shoutout to the Supercorp gays for hyping up my last social media fic so much I wrote a new one). @kyoshi-era-week-24

Let me know what y’all think! Can’t say I’ve ever combined these two fandoms before but I’ve left tons of easter eggs from both Avatar and Station 19!

Rangi just stared, that was the weakest attempt of a lie she’d heard in ages.

That at least was the truth, though it did nothing to stop Rangi’s curiosity. Kyoshi was flushed, but there was an excited air about her. Rarely did she plan something to this degree, so Rangi would let her have it. For now.
