     alyssa wasn’t exactly sure how she ended up here, some cute little, kinda run down flower shop. but she was on a hunt to get her girlfriend the best bouquet of flowers she could possibly find to use to ask her to the homecoming dance. well, assuming they could cross the boundaries of actually being allowed to attend a school dance for once. now that the whole prom fiasco was months behind them. and sure, flowers were more alyssa’s thing than emmas but they were traditional. and pretty. not to mention romantic. 

     she was bound to get a call from her mother any minute, soon as jacqueline would notice her daughters location, but that was another bridge she would cross when she got to it. right now, the only thing on her mind were pretty flowers for her girlfriend, so she pushed open the door to mushnik’s, a hopeful smile on her face as she started to gaze around.
