This was my first time drawing Envy which is why they look weird. Though after looking at his ref sheet and other pictures of him I now realize what I did wrong. I didn’t put his frond bangs in a more side ways like motion. I hope to get better at drawing him eventually Anyways here’s my first fmab oc x canon related art.
Also Happy 20th Anniversary Fullmetal Alchemist!
I’m very disappointed at the lack of Envy x reader and Envy x listener content on the internet. GET TO WORK YALL PLEASE I BEG- 😭
Edward saying to Miles "Ishvalan, your people destroyed our countryside. And one (1) of you is responsible for murdering my friends parents. (...) my feelings for you are conflicted. I think people should ignore their race, and treat each other as equals." Is on god some of the dumbest shit I ever heard from fmab.
Okay, yeah, you have a right to be angry and hateful.....to Scar, a survivor of genocide (admitably, misguided and still guilty of murdering a few innocents, but nonetheless a survivor). The Ishvalan people didn't have jack SHIT to do with any of that. Replace the context with Ed being a German and the Ishvalans as Jewish people. Heck, it's a direct comparison in CoS.
That shit would definitely NOT fly.
Edward, my guy, your people comitted literal GENOCIDE. Murder is still murder, but you got no room to talk about "your people" to Miles.
Fmab really REALLY glosses over the Ishvalan extermination/genocide and it rubs me the wrong way.
Say what you want about 2003 fma and brotherhood, but at least 2003 had the balls to be more realistic. Brotherhood had me rooting for war criminals who got off scott free (Roy and Riza) while FMA had me rooting for--absolutley no one. No seriously, I was just in it for the ride in 2003. No one was objectivley good or evil. And fma 2003 made sure to write it that way.
Anyway, it's iconic that BOTH 2003 fma and brotherhood didn't have a single bad Opening or Closing song.
Me, seeing barely any fma/fmab imagines, reader insert fics or headcannons:
I'll take requests 😎
