since her debut, hyeju’s never really been afraid to interact with the knight members. she got a few earfuls from the company at first, but she always thought it was ridiculous. wasn’t it bc that wanted them to be sibling groups? what kind of siblings stood six feet away from one another and avoided eye contact? well, actually, that might be the case of a lot of siblings. nevertheless, the amount of hate and flack she got from certain knight fans have turned her tolerant to such comments that now she was more shameless than ever. 

the same set of thoughts remain even when she’s not particularly in public so when she spots jaemin in the company building, she quickly approaches him. she’s been called in for some kind of news, but it seems that she’s here awfully early. in other words, she was pretty bored, and she needed someone to bother. “hey! fancy seeing you around here. i thought you’d still be in america touring with, uh, whatever that group’s name is. champion was it?” hyeju can’t help but snort at how cheesy the name sounds though she’s not in the place to talk, is she?

       it had been a while since duri got to hang out with jaemin outside of knight schedules. most of the time, it simply being spending time during schedules because there seemed to be virtually no other time to do it. but, time was on their side this very day, and he had got jaemin to go to the arcade with him. walking into the darkened place, simply lit by the bright machines with their bright colors, his eyes always dazzling in amazement. however, his eyes meet with a big plushie, a giggle leaving his lips. he points at it, “do you think i can win that? i think it would go really well in one of my guest rooms!” he says. “should i try to win two? ahri and nori will see them and want them on their next visit!”

sunghee still doesn’t know whether it’s boldness or stupidity that has them leaving the dorm when they are very obviously high. well, obviously to them, sunghee reckons, as most people probably wouldn’t notice anything amiss, especially not with the sunglasses they are wearing, or the mask sitting comfortably on their face. maybe it is arrogance. there’s a lot money can buy, a lot money has bought sunghee both out of and into from the moment their mother married a man with more money than he knew what to do with. sunghee has— they could call them friends but perhaps that would be too much of a heavy word to describe them. acquaintances, would be better, that have gotten away with much worse, all because of their parents’ back accounts. oh, to be rich.

so they leave. they don’t drive, at least, walking towards the nearest art gallery to the dorm. immediately after they pay the entrance fee, sunghee starts understanding the appeal of looking at art when they are like this. usually they just play video games, or watch movies, or stare at the lava lamps they are still not tired of — but art? it’s almost like it’s jumping at them, and sunghee finds themselves focusing too much in one of the pieces, to the point where they poke the person standing next to them. “excuse me, do you know what this one means?”

there were a lot of people within the idol industry that guanting respected and thought were talented. it was hard not to, especially after being in the industry for a few years. there was so much talent permeating the industry that ting couldn’t help but respect his peers. despite that, he didn’t even need all of his ten fingers to count the people that he admired or looked up to. most of the people he admired were vocalists themselves, seeing as how that was what he personally thought his strongest suit was. he knew that he was a good dancer, he had trained for years to perfect his dancing, but his singing was a natural talent that he had built off of, while dancing was something he built up from scratch. among his favorite vocalists in the industry, jaemin was certainly one of them. unfortunately ting didn’t get many opportunities to speak with him, but whenever he did, he relished in it. he hadn’t been expecting to run into his senior during the complex culture photoshoot, but he was happy that he did. “sunbaenim!” he greeted cheerfully, bowing his head when he approached him. “i wasn’t expecting to see you here. did you already finish your shoot?”
