Hey everyone! So since as of now everyone’s staking their claims to positions and stuff, I’m going to hold off on picking a spot for Ting until everyone’s reserves are already sent in and I’ll choose from what’s left lol I’m pretty flexible with Ting, as long as I can keep Lucas as his FC I’m happy lol so look forward to a revamped Ting when he comes in! And I can’t wait to see what everyone else does with their muses.
WHEN & WHERE: July 19th, volunteering at the animal shelter
WITH: you, perhaps?
If the shelter staff tasked with shepherding their particular batch of idols today had caught onto the fact that Jihae was almost falling asleep, they had the generosity not to remark on it. Having returned from Osaka just in time to be shuffled off to volunteer work they still felt the odd weight that came with frequent travels in their bones, leaving them worm and glad that for most of the part all they had to do was trail after staff and assist them.
They’d never considered themselves much of an animal person altogether, even having grown up with a dog and owning one themselves now. Having been sent off to a corner to make sure the kittens they’d been put in charge of had decent distraction and amusement they wondered a little why. Spending time with animals was oddly healing in a way they hadn’t anticipated. Maybe it was the kittens that had ultimately prompted them to speak up and seek a conversation in the end.
“Big cliché, but sometimes I sure wish I could be a cat,” they hummed and tugged at a worm on a string they’d fished out of the pile of toys. The kitty they were playing with, a grey tabby, pounced enthusiastically. Jihae sure wanted that kind of energy. “Never saw myself as much of a cat person, but I feel like I’d take that over being a dog.”
with his promotions for mmmh ending just a few days prior, ting was able to dedicate all of his time to unity once again. the boys were in the process of slowly but surely recording all of the music for their next upcoming release. dimensions wanted them to have two more comebacks before the year closed out, which would be quite a lot to swing in less than six months, but he knew that they would be able to do it. or he hoped they would be able to do.
regardless, the mandatory volunteer service that the idols had to uphold had taken ting away from his unity-related responsibilities for the day, which he didn’t really mind. especially because this time around, they would be volunteering at the animal shelter. being the animal lover that he was, ting was absolutely ecstatic to spend the day with a bunch of furry, little creatures. he’d always wanted a pet, whether it be a cat or a dog or something of the sort, but his parents never let him have one. and he had moved to korea to become a trainee at the age of ten, so he’d never had a chance to adopt a pet. now that he was living on his own, he was heavily considering taking the leap and becoming a pet dad.
he wouldn’t consider himself the type of person who leaned towards being a dog lover over a cat lover, and vice versa. he liked both quite equally. which was why he didn’t mind being sent over to keep the cats entertained instead of the dogs. he had been in the midst of having two cats playfully attack him and his hands when jihan spoke. he turned his head towards the other idol, raising an eyebrow at the words spoken. “why would you take being a cat over being a dog? not that that’s a bad thing, i’m just curious.”
in the extremely short amount of time that vive had been a debuted group, kyubok had been spared from both wardrobe malfunctions but also the stylist intentionally only seeming to half dress him (quite possibly due to how their youngest member was barely legal). this wasn’t something he had great experience in or knew how to help with. it didn’t help that a split right down the front of ting’s pants, which wasn’t easy to hide or play off as an intentional rip in his clothing.
“okay yeah…you’re probably right…” kyubok agreed, chewing on his bottom lip as he tried to rack his brain and conjure up another solution to the issue at hand. at least his shirt idea might potentially end up working. once again he paused to think for a moment. “i think they just chill in like the dressing areas, right? or near the stages for touch ups and stuff? one of those would probably be your best bet?”
“it’s a good thing i actually wore underwear today, right?” he tried making a lighthearted joke, something that ting tended to do in high stress situations. he did it to keep himself from freaking out too much. if he allowed himself to think about how his pants were ripped and he was less than an hour away from performing on stage, he would have thrown himself into a full blown panic attack, which would have made the situation even worse. and, maybe not as bad but still important to ting, he would have embarrassed himself even more.
“i should probably check the dressing area and not near the stage - just in case i have to put on a completely different pair of pants.” that, and he didn’t want to risk being in the way of idols going on stage and coming off stage. “you mind walking behind me to the dressing area? i just don’t want there to be any mishap, and I can keep the front of my pants closed, but I’m not sure if they ripped to the back or not.”
jihoon can’t help but laugh at the bold statement ting just made “i think you’re getting a little bit ahead of yourself with the adore part.” he comments, rolling his eyes. sure, he did like ting, that wasn’t a lie. very little people had the option to come and dine homemade food at his place, but ting’s sense of humor had really gotten to jihoon. maybe he could cut him some slack “that’s not the point, if i had to pick, you’d be eating only noodle dishes. it’s fun when i get to cook different things.” he explained, a pout almost appearing on his features. he was already sure he had an obsession with noodles and ramen, he wasn’t planning on torturing others with it.
“i mean, i didn’t give it up, i just stopped eating it.“ he explained with a shrug. it was definitely a weird thing that has happened to jihoon, but he never really spoke about it. he cooked everything and anything, so most of the time, his friends didn’t realize. “that’s good, that you enjoy eating everything. what about truffle? that’s a weird one.“ he asks, curious to hear guanting’s opinion about it. it was a very much up to taste ingredient in his opinion, but you never knew. at the compliment about his dancing not being atrocious, he bowed his head politely, finally sitting down across the other and taking a spoonful of soup. “i’m not a dancer, at least according to bc ent. just a vocalist. plus, i make sure to not make a fool out of myself.“ he says with a laugh, shrugging his shoulders.
nodding his head, jihoon actually gave it a thought. “the chances of seeing each other at music shows sounds pretty high. i also have a two week collab promotion in august, as well straight after our japanse tour.” most of the time it takes him saying things out loud to figure out how packed his schedule was, but he preferred it this way. “you better listen to it. composed and written by me.” the vocalist says, smile pulling on his lips. “you also better come and say hi to me when you see me backstage in october. that’s a threat.”
“you know what i think? i think you’re just jealous. it’s not my fault that i’m adored by everybody that lays their eyes on this million dollar smile of mine.” he smiled brightly, showing off all of his teeth. that wasn’t how guanting really felt though. sure, he had people tell him that they thought he was cute and wanted to baby him, but he had gotten enough hate comments and insults thrown his way to know that he wasn’t loved by everyone - not even close. it was nice to pretend though, and to joke around about it. “what’s the point then?” he asked, shrugging his shoulders. “i don’t mind eating noodle dishes. but if it makes you feel better, i’ll be sure to write a list of different dishes that i want you to cook, just so you won’t have to worry about coming up with something to cook for me. how does that sound, hm?”
he nodded his head at his words. “i see,” he hummed in understanding. he, personally, could never really give it up, but he didn’t really think that it was weird or anything like that. people had their preferences after all, and it wasn’t like there was any specific reasoning for it. he took jihoon’s words at face value and moved along. “yeah, i eat truffle too!” he answered around a mouthful of food, chewing his mouthful and swallowing before he spoke again. “hyung, when i say that i’ll eat pretty much anything at least once, i mean it. as long as it’s not crawling or blinking.” he laughed at his own words. “you might not be a dancer, but you’re not horrible at dancing. if you were, you wouldn’t be an idol, now would you?” he raised an eyebrow up at him.
“ah, who are you collaborating with?” he asked, curious to see what was coming up for the older male. usually he would have heard something along the grapevine when it came to releases, even if it might not be one hundred percent true, there were always rumors or music releases floating around amongst idols. “of course i’m going to listen to it. you better listen to unity’s next release too.” he couldn’t stifle his laugh. “and why do i have to come to you? why can’t you come find me backstage, hm? you’re so violent hyung.. threatening me like this.”
her first album was a big deal. kami was buzzing, simply buzzing. there wasn’t really anything else she could label at this point. her first full album, it was here and it was real. and she was about to promote it. it had become a ritual at this point but kami put extra care in preparing her albums this time around, already signed with an extra thank you note.
with that out of the way, kami made her rounds behind the music show. she’d have to return to her dressing room soon but she wanted to pass out as many as she could. if doors were closed, she passed by but she did stop an idol walking down the narrow hallway. “hello!” she picked lifted one of her albums in the stack, held it out. “i’m kami.” there was the chance they didn’t know. “and this is my first full length album, i’m doing a little self-promotion.”
after a month long of promotional activities, guanting was finally winding down with his last appearance on a music show. it had been quite the whirlwind experience for him, but he loved it nonetheless. the experience of promoting on his own was one that he had gained a lot of knowledge from, and in some ways it had taught him how to be more independent and how not to rely on his hyungs so much for everything. he had to admit that he missed being on stage with them though. performing alone was definitely something that he would have to get used to.
he had already finished his own recording and had just exited the dressing room of a fellow idol he was visiting for a few moments when he was stopped by his label mate. “oh, hello!” he bowed his head slightly, going through the motions of the standard greetings. kami was someone he was familiar with, his time as a trainee beginning before gal.actic had even debuted, but they had never been introduced in a professional setting. “ah, yes! i heard your title track. it’s really good.” he gratefully accepted the album, inspecting the front and back. “have you already recorded for your stage?”
“Is thereanything you’d like from Japan? I just discovered these very delicious chips,or maybe some souvenir from here? A little gift?” Sooah asks tilting her headto the side as she holds her phone in front of her for the video call. It’salready late at night, she just spent most of the day rehearsing for theconcert, and she’s a little bit sore from exercise, but it still feels nice totalk to someone who’s not directly involved with the whole process.
Sooahdoesn’t have that much time to spare. She’s in Yokohama for work, and it’s onlya weekend affair before they flight her back to Seoul. But she can still try tosneak out, or go to a close shop and buy a few things if requested. It’s notlike she never had done that before, and she hates going back empty-handed. Sooahwould still have to go to at least a convenience store to pick up very specificsnacks that her brothers seem to love so much, anyway, so she might as welllook for things for her friends. “And before you say anything, it’s not aproblem at all. Just tell me if you want something.”
it had been a while since unity had partaken in promotional activities and schedules in japan, let alone a concert. with their popularity steadily rising in south korea, dimensions had done their best to keep them limited to domestic activities for the most part, hoping to capitalize as much as possible on their growing fandom. it was nice not having to travel all the time, but ting did miss it to a certain extent. he liked going to different countries and seeing their fans. “You know what they say - food is always the best gift,” he joked, letting out a laugh as he readjusted his hold on his phone.
“I’ll take the chips.” He nodded his head in confirmation, before he raised an eyebrow. “What are you doing out in Japan anyway? Fuse has schedules out there?” He asked, his curiosity getting the best of him. He had been so wrapped up in his own schedules and activities, both solo and with Unity, that it became a little difficult for him to keep up with the plans and activities of his friends and their respective groups.
“they’re just interesting creatures, you know?” well, maybe he didn’t know but she thought most people thought they were interesting. even if they were scared. “people are scared of them, i was scared of them at one point.” then she overcame it. “then i learned more about them and i just became very, very interested. i love how they come off so cold, they’re fine with being alone. i’ve watched a bunch of videos and they’re just so cute.” and a few of them had personalities. “and yes! i take it you are? my entire plant is covered in plants.”
“i guess i can see you’re point. people tend to be scared of things when they don’t know much about them. although i’ve heard some pretty scary facts about snakes that have made me even more scared of them.” granted, most of the things he heard about snakes that made him feel a little uneasy were about snakes that weren’t even native to South Korea, so the chances of him running into one at all, let alone being bitten, were very slim to none. “they sound like cats, but in reptile form. snakes are reptiles, aren’t they?” he shrugged a bit. “a budding plant lover, maybe.” he laughed at his own little joke. “i don’t have too many plants at my place yet. i’m still trying to find ones i really like.”
ever since he made an appearance on the competition show and returned to gold star now as an idol and no longer just a trainee, kyubok had done an admittedly horrible job at keeping up with any friends he had made over the almost decade of his life he spent with the company. which had started of course when he had initially left, or rather been kicked out. it was shocking to realize he seemed to accidently be making friends with others as well now, new people he had seen perform through the screen of his computer or on the television in the dorms and had never thought of meeting. now he had ting who was similar in age and overall nice and didn’t make him feel terribly awkward at all points in time. that was nice.
though he wouldn’t consider them friends right now, more acquittances and getting to know each other still, the last thing kyubok had expected for them to be using as a new bonding experience was the large tear in the front of the other’s pants. “yeah it’s….” he was going to lie, honestly, and try to assure that other that the tear wasn’t as bad as it really was until it was clear that they both saw the blue material. “bad, yeah it’s not good.” really he wasn’t sure what to do in this situation. “we should probably find you something to like…tie around your waist or maybe something that isn’t bright blue to maybe tuck in and hide that..” he trailed off looking around.
guanting definitely wasn’t the type to feel embarrassed about his body or being exposed - he was the member of unity who would most likely be seen without his shirt on, and had gone shirtless for more than a handful of looks for different photoshoots and such. however this was a little bit different. it had to do with his pants, and they were split right down the middle, exposing his underwear from the front. he was sure that if he went out on stage like that, he would never hear the end of it from netizens. it was one thing to take off his shirt, but he knew they would see it as a completely different thing if his undergarments were showing. whether it was accidental or not.
“i don’t think tying something around my waist would work. we’re going to be out there dancing, it might fall off or someone could trip over it or something.” it was a good first thought, however after giving it a second thought, ting knew it wouldn’t work. “i think the second option could work. like a shirt or something. i need a black shirt.” his pants were black, thankfully, so it wouldn’t be too difficult to find something that could work for him. his eyes started scanning his surrounding area. “do you know where the stylists usually hang out at when they’re not working back here?”
"i’m not sure i’m cut out for this." at the moment she was to young to think about kids and marriage. she was just starting her career. but being around kids all day made her thankful that she wasn’t a mother. that she didn’t settle down with her high school sweetheart and have kids straight out of high school. it seemed her friends back home had decided to be moms and dads. while she decide to chase after her sister. she wonders if things would have been different had she stayed. had vince survived that night.
"so how are you doing?” she was currently sitting on the side wall trying to stay as far away from the kids as possible. she just needed two minutes. “hopefully better then me.” and if she was honest that wouldn’t be to hard. people never tell you just how exhausting caring for kids can be. she was just happy that at the end of the day she could go home.
guanting was used to being the youngest person amongst the people he usually hung out with. being the maknae of his idol group, and being very young when he debuted in the industry, it wasn’t very odd or farfetched that he would end up being one of the youngest, if not the actual youngest, in any given group. it was a rare occasion that he found himself surrounded by people younger than him, especially children. he didn’t have much history with young kids. he had become a trainee with dimensions when he was just ten years old himself, so he was always hanging out with people older than him.
however, he did have a childlike mentality that was a necessity when it came to interacting with children, so his time spent volunteering at the orphanage wasn’t bad at all. the kids seemed to love him and how he was just as energetic and excitable as they were. however, he did need a bit of a break, which was how he found himself drinking a bottle of water off to the side, standing with daiyu. “not a big fan of kids?” he asked, giving her a sympathetic smile. “i’m doing pretty good with them, actually. they seem to like me.”
“try me.“ is what jihoon answers back with a raised brow. he was obviously teasing, he had grown to like ting’s sense of humor and his presence even more since their identities were revealed to one another. “you can always order food if it makes you happy.“ another joke, said in the most deadpan voice he could muster. which, surprisingly, wasn’t that hard. “next time you come visit, tell me what you want in advance.“ he states as he leans against the counter, bowls of rice served.
it was always a funny conversation to have when jihoon admitted he didn’t eat meat anymore. it had been a solid few years since that had happened, but to this day, he really isn’t sure about the reason behind it “i just don’t crave it? like, no health reasons, no moral ones either.” he answers with a shrug. “shortly after charm debuted i just didn’t find it as nice to eat as before and slowly stopped consuming it. i still cook it, i have friends that love yukgaejang and bulgogi, i just tend to make some veggie dishes for me on the side.” he explains, finally reaching for the spoon in the kimchi stew pot, pouring some into his own bowl. “i eat fish, other seafood as well, but fish mainly. i eat eggs and cheese as well. so i guess pescatarian is the term?” jihoon asks before taking a spoonful from the soup, still standing up across guanting.
the smile from the other made the vocalist smile back, nodding his head “very good album as well, it showed.” he confirmed, a small hum leaving him as he debates if he should even show the other what he had picked up. “you are gonna laugh at me, i just know it.” jihoon says, already laughing at himself as he places the spoon back into the bowl. its not much, he only learned a small part of the chorus, moves not as sharp as they should be, but still recognizable. with that he waves his hand in the air when he finishes “that’s all i know, not much.” at the spoiler that guanting gives him he nods his head ”that sounds fun. throwback concepts are always fun. i’ll keep an eye out.” he smiles widely at what he hears about him keeping up with charm’s releases “as you should, i produce them.” he jokes, finally taking a seat across the other “should be dropping in october? we’re wrapping everything up in september. its a very musical song and the choreography is amazing.”
“don’t think i won’t.” at the risk of seeming cocky and full of himself, ting was more than willing to bet that jihoon wouldn’t really let him go without food if he really asked him to cook for him. not just because he was cute, but because they were friends and they had a pretty good dynamic and rapport with one another. “ordering food does make me happy,” ting couldn’t help but agree, nodding his head along with his words. “but getting food from people that adore me makes me even more happy,” ting said cheekily, pairing his response with a cheeky smile. “aww, hyung. i’d be more than happy to eat anything that you cook for me. i don’t care what you feed me.” and that was the truth. not only did ting just like hanging out with his friend, but he had never been too picky about what food he ate.
his explanation was paired with a head nod from guanting. it made sense to him, but at the same time he couldn’t really fathom not craving meat anymore. he tended to eat meat at least once a day, if not multiple times throughout the day. he loved the taste of it and it had become a part of his daily diet. “more power to you, hyung. i don’t think i could ever give up meat. i understand where you’re coming from though.. kind of. i haven’t really been introduced to a food that i don’t like, but i can understand the feeling of not wanting anything but not exactly hating it either.” changing tastes and outlooks on life was, ironically, apart of life. “i think that’s the right term for it.. then again, i’m not food expert. except for telling if something tastes good or not.”
“thank you so much.” receiving praise for the hard work he had put into his album made ting even more proud of what he had a large hand in creating. all those hours spent held up in the studio, recording and rerecording songs, trying to find the perfect balance and mixture of sounds and what he wanted to sound like, had paid off in the end. he was happy that his album had been positively received. “why would i laugh at you?” he raised an eyebrow up at his words, until he saw the dance moves. he chuckled, but then shook his head. “you’re not terrible. you were actually pretty decent.. maybe need a little bit of work and fine tuning, but not bad!” he took another bite from the food jihoon prepared for him, humming in approval at the taste. “october? so close, but so far. i’m excited for it already! we’re actually having our comeback around that time too. maybe we’ll be able to see each other during promotions.”
“a sad but true point.” she’d love to have a puppy, in fact, she might’ve done both. finally, the puppy in her lap ran off and she reached out to pet another that didn’t seem to care about her one way or another, it made a chuckle leave her mouth. “no, i didn’t like them at first, i didn’t give them much thought, i was like other kids who were into th small, cute and safe animals.” then she grew up a bit and found ones she loved. “that’s also true, no venomous or poisonous snakes for me. between snakes and my plants, i’ll be busy.”
having another warm body to come home to would have been a good thing for guanting. he hated being alone, and living alone had been something that filled him with a little bit of stress and anxiety. it had of course gotten easier over time and the longer he lived by himself, the less that he disliked it, but it was still something he was growing used to. “what made you like snakes then?” he asked, his curiosity getting the best of him. a smile spread across his face when one of the puppies meandered over to him, immediately reaching out for the pup and pulling it onto his lap. “oh, you’re a plant lover too?”
Setting: Ulsan Music Festival
Date: July 26th, 2021
Time: 6:47pm
Characters Involved: Guanting & @fmdkyubok
even though they hadn’t had many chances to spend time with one another after the fantasy concert that took place in the states, guanting still did consider kyubok a friend. or at least someone who had the potential to be a friend. they had gotten along rather well, having to spend a few nights together in the same villa. they were close in age as well, which made things even more easier for ting to find himself relating to the other male. he knew that, if given more time together, they would be able to develop quite a nice friendship.
however he didn’t think that they would be brought together to spend time with one another in this way. guanting found himself holding together the front of his pants, a frown on his face as he stood in front of kyubok. “is it really that noticeable?” he wasn’t sure when unity would be called to perform next, so he didn’t know if he had enough time to find one of the stylists that were floating around backstage. “you can’t see anything, right?” he let go of the fabric for a second, almost immediately grabbing it to hold it together once again when he noticed the blue material of his boxers showing through. “never mind.”
“a puppy would be fun but i think i’ll be too busy to take care of one. taking them out for walks, training and all of that.” she could hire someone to do it but that wouldn’t help her feel like she was really apart of it. “they do make it hard.” she watched as the puppy lazy tried to nip at the tail that was in front of him. “snakes, aren’t they cool?” that was one reason, not the only one but a big one. “they’re a bit misunderstood, people are scared of them first but i’m sure they need homes as well.”
“good point.” that was something that he had considered when he had first made the decision to get a dog of his own, but it was something that he had quickly come to what he thought was a good solution. he would take his pet to training courses and he’d have to take it out whenever he got home from schedules, and before he left for schedules. if it meant getting a little bit less sleep, then so be it. it would be worth it. “snakes are cool, when they aren’t venomous or poisonous.” he laughed. “have snakes always been one of your favorite animals?”
it has been a while since they both found out who they had been sending memes for over a year or so. so this development was very much welcome in jihoon’s opinion. it was nice to know that someone shared his weird sense of humor and was always ready to hit back with a meme or two.
“i will take your free meal pass.“ the vocalist says, bluntly, but its a joke.”i’ve not made it in a while, but i thought it’d be nice.“ he says with a shrug, a laugh threatening to spill past his lips as ting explains how he would eat anything. “i mean, that’s not bad. you’re definitely less picky than me.“ he says as he turns around to go get the rice out of the rice cooker. “i don’t eat meat, so that makes me a tad picky i guess? haven’t had issues so far with the management, which is a good thing.“ he had no problem cooking meat, in reality he enjoyed it because it made sure he didn’t forget how to work with it.
“i saw, its a good song, i learned a bit of the dance.“ is all jihoon admits, he had indeed been getting a tad rusty with his dancing, compared to when he first moved to seoul and joined bc. a weird change of career paths “ohh, a comeback? got any spoilers for me?“ he asks as he returns to the counter with two bowls of rice, placing one next to ting “its been okay, charm is also supposed to have a korean comeback. i’ve been stuck in the studio more than ever, but im actually excited about this one? you better make sure to listen to it.“
“no you won’t. see this face?” he placed his hands underneath his chin, giving jihoon a bright smile, his eyes crinkling at the corners, before he dropped the expression and continued on with his eating. “you can’t resist feeding this face. don’t you want to keep seeing me smile? food makes me happy.” that definitely wasn’t a lie. guanting could eat just about anyone out of a house and home, and he had even developed a friendly back and forth and dynamic with the delivery man who delivered to his apartment the most.
“no meat?” ting’s face scrunched up a little bit, and he tilted his head to the side, a little confused by his confession. “why don’t you eat meat? for health reasons or like.. moral reasons?” he knew that a lot of people chose the vegetarian or vegan lifestyle for health style choices, but he also knew that a lot of people chose those lifestyles because of their moral compass and not wanting to consume food that came from living beings. “do you not eat fish either?”
ting’s eyes lit up and he smiled once again. he always loved to hear positive feedback about his music. “thank you! i worked hard on it. the whole album, actually. i wrote a lot. it means the world that you liked it. what part of the dance did you learn? it’s actually a lot harder than it looks.” he would know; he’d been doing the dance for months at that point. “spoilers? hmm.. it’s a throwback song.” which he thought was a pretty big spoiler, especially given the title of the track. “i always check out charm’s releases. when is it supposed to be dropping? or are you guys still in the recording stages?”
hello hello, it’s your fave non gender conforming pal here, kim. first i’d just like to give a quick little apology for disappearing on everyone in the midst of plotting. got hit with something irl that took me away from rp’ing for a little bit but i’m back now and ready to continue on with my two sons. i’ve decided to jump on the bandwagon and post my own little plot call for schedules, so if you want to do something with ting or seojun, for schedules or not, just like this and i’ll message you in a timely manner. it’ll be from either this account or seojun’s, whichever i’m logged into lol

a big chunk of his time will be spent in los angeles filming with the other quicksilver guys, but there’s still a lot that i can have him do surrounding those two blocks of time. there’s not much i can do with him work wise right now, so most of his threads will have to be non schedule related, but i’m sure we can figure something out!
❝ yes i know, I know what you want
but I can’t do anything, i don’t like this either
i can be impatient, but it’s not time yet
cause today is
open, july 20th, jihoon’s loft
“so you think my kimchi stew is the best?“ he ask as he places the boiling pot in between them on the wooden plate in the center of the kitchen island. it had been a hot minute since jihoon saw the other, but she didn’t blame them. after their schedules has been packed, its been over a month, he thought it was natural to not search for each other after some time.
“i haven’t cooked it in ages, so i hope its actually as good as before.“ the vocalist explains, handing over the large spoon he had brought along so they can scoop some in his bowl “but other than that, how’ve you been? its been a while.“ jihoon says with a smile and sits across them. his elbows are pressed against the table and his face is in his palms as he waits for an answer.
ting had long since already started scooping some of the stew into his bowl before jihoon could even completely get the question out of his mouth. in all honesty, the foreign-born idol was starving. he hadn’t gotten the chance to eat as much as he would have liked that morning because he had a day filled with errands and such to run. the curse of being an adult and having to actually do things by oneself wasn’t fun in the slightest. he didn’t hesitate to take in a mouthful of the hot stew almost immediately, making a face at the intense heat, before he grew accustomed to it and could actually taste the stew.
“the best?” ting crinkled up his nose as if he were really taking the time to think about his answer, humming under his breath and tapping his finger against his chin. of course he didn’t really need to think that long or that hard. jihoon’s kimchi stew was pretty decent - more than decent, actually. it was a lot better than what he could make, that was for sure. “i’m kidding. it’s actually pretty good. i’m impressed. although i’m not sure how much my word means to you - my hyungs tell me i’d eat anything.”
he shrugged his shoulders. “i’ve been good. just finished up promotions for mmmh a few days ago, and we’re already working on unity’s next comeback.” he didn’t really mind how busy he had been recently, in fact he loved it. “how about you, hyung? how have you been?”
she knew that it’d be likely that they’d have camera’s around. at least for a portion of the day. still, it wasn’t until they moved after that she felt a little more comfortable. rina found herself, loading and unloading bags of pet food for most of the day. this was a little bit of a break and made her way to one of the rooms, the ones with the puppies.
there was another idol here, already playing with the dogs and rina quietly slipped into the room, watching as some of the curious pups ran up to her. it took a bit of moving around before she could sit on the floor and scratch one of the pup’s ears. “this almost makes me want to get a god…” she said it out loud, to the idol and herself. “but i’m a bit more interested in the snakes.”
even though it was just the first volunteering event, guanting knew that it would end up being his favorite and preferred one amongst the three that were set in stone in each idol’s schedule. don’t get him wrong - he didn’t hate or dislike children, nor did he hate or dislike old people, but he did feel a lot more comfortable with animals than he did with the former. mostly because animals always seemed to like him. children were a close second in his eyes. they were cute, when they weren’t leaking or spitting up everywhere. and in last place was the elderly. it was always a hit or miss with the older generation - you never knew what kind of old person you were going to get. ting tended to get the ruder ones.
he had spent about fifteen minutes in the room with the puppies when another idol entered the room, causing his to glance up in their direction. he smiled in greeting, before turning his attention back to the few pups that were still yipping and playfully biting at him. “ah, same here.. i think i might end up adopting a puppy one day soon. i need someone to come back home to everyday,” he joked, looking up so he could meet her eyes. “oh? why snakes?”
