For the fandom FMK, I'd like to get your opinion on the Combs characters:

Shran, Weyoun, and Brunt

(Mirror Brunt or Prime, and any Weyoun iteration you prefer)

Honestly I feel like I could answer this one with just the Weyoun iterations!

Slow-Burn: Shran, for sure. Andorians are very duty-focused, and I think it would take a while for Shran to see some rando he just met as a viable partner (Archer doesn't count, he's got that inexplicable Archer magnetism going on) or even a Person of Interest. Maybe like a dozen regular joint missions or one to three really intense ones spaced out over several months. The key is to earn his respect - I feel very much like Shran is the sort of character who returns what he meets with in kind.

Fake Dating: Brunt - the regular one! It would be part of a scheme, of course, and served with a side of blackmail - and boy, would it be rough for everyone involved. There would be a lot of cultural misfires, mixed messages, bad acting, and shenanigans! What's the scheme? Who knows! By the time the trope comes to fruition it's not important!

Enemies to Lovers: Weyoun, hands down, no contest. Let's take Weyoun 5 as our option for this one and set it during the 5+ weeks that the Dominion occupied DS9. Let's add an element of forced proximity because, after all, it's not like you can just leave. If you wanted to be safe you should have left with all the Federation personnel. Let's throw in diametrically opposed beliefs, throw in some controlling tendencies, add enough charisma to ooze, a soupcon of contempt, and we have our work cut out for ourselves. But! If we can get over those hurdles I think we have the potential for something really, truly electrifying.

fanfic trope marauders edition!! james potter/ lily evans / sirius black 💛

Sirius Black for the fake dating. Again, I'd rather have fun if it's going to be an inherently ridiculous situation and I think he'd be best at this.

James Potter for enemies to lovers. He's a little bit cocky and mean which regretfully was not not my type at a certain point.

Lily Evans, my beloved, for the slow burn. Bonus points for that thing I did when I was teen where I was really invested in strong friendship*

The talking 3 members of the Andorian commando squad: Shran, Keval, and Tholos.

Of course! Shran, Keval, and Tholos, huh? Let's see.

Slow Burn: I feel like this would have to be Keval. We see him for less than a minute and he's all business - very professional, very typically arrogant, and while rocking a red leather uniform not very approachable at first. I could see things warming up over a joint mission or six. Or, you know, 37 chapters like someone else we both know. 😉

Fake-Date: Shran, because he's familiar enough with Humans that I think he'd manage to play along well and genuinely like the person he's fake dating after a while. He's got a sense of humor, which would make him quite likeable in turn, and he certainly hasn't been afraid to take risks to further Terran-Andorian relations in the past. If fake-dating is what's required for The Cause, then so be it. Of course things would progress from there quite naturally.

Enemies to Lovers: Tholos. Harassing my girl T'Pol during a hostage situation was really not the best foot to start on, my dude. That was creepy and totally unnecessary, and it's going to be held against him for a good long while. I can't imagine that would be greeted with anything but snark and disdain on his end, which would cement a low-grade enemies relationship quite well. Still, eventually I could see things wearing down on both sides with frequent contact to a mutual understanding of sorts, and from there a whole new world of possibilities could open up. Throw in danger, a few classic tropes like forced proximity and the old standby of stranded together, and I could see things progressing quite nicely to the lovers stage no problem.

Enemies to lovers Pansy Parkinson because some characterizations of her actually remind me of myself ten years ago and I would 100% fight 2011 Tee.

Slow burn with Pomona Sprout. I feel like she's one of those delightful people who is just more interesting and beautiful the more you get to know them.

Minerva McGonagall is a Gryffindor and has a streak of mischief. Who better to pull off fake dating scheme for flimsy and convoluted reasons?
