Nora takes too much responsibility on herself and rarely allows herself to rest.
(10.02.2023) Some "Vanny" and Nora interactions. They are coworkers in the animatronic-building company from The Special Delivery and are secretly dating. Back then, when it was drawn, I used the canonical name Vanessa for "Vanny" character. Now I use Vanda to separate her AU version from the canon stuff.
Due to technical complications, users of the funtime delivery service received emails that were not addressed to them.
Thanks to this defect, we got to see some insights into the employees of Fazbear Entertainment and some of the contractors they hired!
It's that time of year again!
So let's pull one of Fazbear's own strategies and have a party to try and make light of the chaos that was the behind-the-scenes of the special delivery service, from the virus that locked contractors out of their systems, to the nearly impossible feat of engineering that was re-making the mangle (as that thing from the 80's was definitely held together by a ghost)! Grab a drink, mind the sling and try to avoid agitating that bruise, and lets' have some fun! ~AK
The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, but let's be honest, you can do this whenever you want (you can even prepare what you want to make now).
This year, I - with the help of the vanessaverse server - opted to go for a week based event rather than a prompt-per-day event. This should help facilitate larger 'projects'.
Art, crafts, and and written works are all accepted.
No AI.
Tag what you make with "fnafARemailMonth2026" and the week. Also, @ this blog so we can see what you create!
Whilst most of the emails appear in The Ultimate Guide, not all of them do. Fortunately for us, people have documented the emails, and the most reliable resources I've found has been a few google docs found via a redit thread, and more recently, someone going by the alias of Under_Score made a very pretty repository of all of the emails. The fnaf fandom wiki is also a semi-reliable resource.
Week 1 - System Glitch
For week 1, the focus will be on the leaked corespondence between Fazbear Entertainment's Office of Legal Affairs and their contractors regarding halting work on all vintage hardware, the corespondence between the contractors regarding a virus that started spreading through the contractor's systems, and their corespondence with Fazbear's technical support.
(Characters: Anna, Mark, Steve, Raha, Dan, Kayla, James. Event: all in-game emails involving the contractors)
Week 2 - Red flag
For week 2, the focus will be on the leaked corespondence between Luis Cabrera and Nessie97, the disturbng searches leading to red flag reports, and Nessie97's attempts to obtain 'help'.
(Characters: Luis, Nessie97. Event: all in-game emails involving Luis or Vanessa)
Week 3 - QA, R&D, CS, and Compliance
For week 3, the focus will be on Fazbear's internal teams and the work being done on the replica toy animatronics.
(Characters: Charles, Nora, Isolde, Tristan. Event: all in-game emails involving CD, Nora, Isolde, and Tristan)
Week 4 - Transfers & Layoffs
For week 4, the focus will be on the transfers, layoffs, and the things that never saw the light of day.
(Event: anything and everythig from the in-game emails that were dug up from the game files that never actually made it into the game.)
Blueprints. Fazbear Entertainment left behind so many blueprints after they cut contact with the contractors - the small company she works for included - and someone has to comb through them for anything and everything that may come in handy.
A lot of the blueprints were in the research and development stage - variants of the existing robots, 'costumes' that never saw the light of day - and Nora finds that ironic. Her job is primarily research and development. At a company named R&D because of the surnames of the two guys that run it. And the Fazbear contract had her in charge of Fazbear's research and development team.
Part 5 of me only opening the AR to read emails and repair my bots—
Anyway, I feel for Nora, she’s trying so hard to hold onto her own integrity and do the right thing and I pity her because Fazbears does not have the reputation of giving a fuck. I think they stopped trying to uphold some sort of moral code or even basic safety a long time ago.
On the other hand, if FNAF ever wanted to get really spicy with the world building, they’d have Nora be a whistleblower on all their shit. I bet a local news station would eat. It. Up. Probably at the expense of her job tho lol.
Izzy is a new character which is neat. I think the lore implication here is that Springtrap isn’t suppose to be an available animatronic. If VR tells us anything is that Fazbears is aware that people believe Afton is haunting the spring Bonnie suit (as per the fnaf3 game) so I’m not entirely buying that they’d go ahead and build a bunch a replica of it, completely with fake organs and Afton’s weird ass voice lines, for the AR game.
But at the same time, that means that Afton is casually just wandering from house to house after Fazbear Frights burned down, for what????? Even if he’s completely aware of the AR and is using that as a means to travel without too much suspicion, what in hell could ever be his purpose? Pure anger and bloodlust? Hell if I know.

There are 31 different prompts, but you don't have to do all of them and you definitely don't have to do it on any specific day. The numbers are just an ID to separate one prompt from the next. Just pick and choose the prompts you like!
I was inspired once again by the many different fnaf event months (mostly the usual suspects tenacity in running these events, namely @vanessaverse-official and @puhpandas), so check them out when you get the chance.
Art, crafts, and fics are all accepted. AO3 collection: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/fnaf_ar_emails_month_2025
Tag what you make with "fnafARemailMonth2025" so that I can see it!
Also because tumblr doesn't like dashes in tags anymore (found it out when browsing my other event blog), if you want to tag the prompt tag it as 'num prompt'.
Edit: please also @ this blog in your entry, or DM this blog your entry, or @ this blog in the comments depending on if mentioning a blog makes the blog not appear in searches for you. Tags are not really working right now and neither are mentions, so do whatever you can to get your post in my line of sight.

CK animatronic maintenance and R&D Robotics contract with Faz Ent has ended, but their stories are far from over.
Nora's life was normal into her early twenties, when whilst on holiday in a remote landlocked town, she was kidnapped by a cult, almost burned alive, and escaped by killing the cult leader then finishing digging out. In the span of about four or five days. Most of which were spent digging prior to almost getting burned alive. Becoming the wrath of the girls who failed to escape in the past, she wound up being a walking cult detector whose back quite literally will set on fire if near real cult stuff.
That's how about a decade later, she knew that Faz Ent was harbouring a cult.
Though with all large corporations reps and execs setting off her 'this guy's in a cult' reaction and her having no real way to determine weather it was just the individual man who was sent to negotiate the contract for building animatronics was in a cult as an individual or if the cult WAS Faz Ent's executives themselves, all she could really do was warn CD of the potential danger. With how far into negotiations things were, she'd need tangible evidence to tell Faz Ent to shove it without it resulting in R&D robotics getting hounded by Faz Ent's legal department.
R&D Robotics was also so strapped for cash that needed the contract, even if Faz Ent was a known dubious company (then again, practically all corporations on Faz Ent's scale are dubious to some degree). At least being contractors meant that Faz Ent had no claim to anything R&D robotics made unless R&D robotics specifically handed over the rights, so they were protected on some legal fronts.
The only company in the area that seemed to be able to avoid taking a contract with Faz Ent was Smith &Tea Robotics, who used thier past employment at Freddy's as their reason for rejecting Faz Ent's offer of contracting.
Some way into the contract, Faz Ent started to treat R&D robotics as if it was their own Research and Development team, requesting new models whilst CK animatronic maintenance were being hounded by a ghost and computer virus.
Then, things came to a head: tensions got high, and Tristan dropped that someone he had spoken to in person knew that Faz Ent was trying to kill all of them.
Within that week after that revelation, Magician mangle tried to kill Tristan, and almost succeeded. Then, some weeks later, CK animatronic maintenance suffered what they called "The Adelaide incident". Then, as soon as Tristan's brother, Daniel, was wheeled into the hospital room, Tristan woke from the coma Magician Mangle had put him. He had known that Dan had been in danger, but he hadn't had time look at the blueprint that had come in.
Nora had looked at the blueprint and connected the name Adelaide on the Arctic Ballora blueprint to the Adelaide who tried to kill Dan, so she knew that CD was in danger. She was able to warn Izzy and CD in enough time for CD to survive.
Though if she was being honest, all the crazy shit going on was too much for Nora to understand, so she generally just kept her head low and kept on keeping on unless something was blazingly obvious. It wasn't enough to stop her getting a concussion from a certain animatronic's (thankfully rubber) oversized mallet, but she lived through the chaos and came out the other side well aware that most people in the robotics scene around these parts were already neck deep involved with something or someone Faz Ent related before this contract even started: the Rocha twins father was a technician in the 80's, Anna was a Faz Ent scientist's kid, Ness worked on the HW project, Luis was part-timing at Faz Ent during the HW project, and the two she knew already: PT and Fritz who worked at the Freddy's location designated 'Location C' back in the 90's.
Well, Nora didn't keep her head down entirely. During this chaotic time, a while after Tristan had recovered enough to come home, R&D Robotics did pick up a new employee: a girl called Sadie who used to work at a factory that produced some of the robots for the 'Special Delivery' project, including some 'Unique Models', until someone important to her was murdered. Nora helped Sadie to adjust and set her up with the survival tools necessary to survive working on the Special Delivery project. Nora was also the least surprised when the next day, Sadie showed up talking about how the person she had lost was back, albeit in a robotic body.
So whilst Nora never got the hang of the murder conspiracy ghost shenanigans, she did get the human element of everything. This made it so that despite her snappy nature, she made lots of friends.
After Faz Ent finally got off their backs after the Special Delivery project shut down, Nora was the biggest help to everyone when it came down to everyone finding their new normal.
Following in line with my Dan x Anna post, here's a plotless drawing of Nora and Tristan. Also from FNAF AR. This was drawn back in February, alongside many other drawings in my backlog. Sure these were quick to make, but having a backlog of pretty OK art, especially if they are characters I don't draw often, is good enough for me. Besides, it gives me time to work on other drawings whilst I'm busy with Uni.
I've probably said this a million times but in the Renegade AU, Nora, Tristan, Charles, and Izzy, aka R&D robotics, are a separate company to Fazbear Entertainment, much like the other contractors (the other contractor company being Anna, Luis and co, aka CK animatronic maintenance). Unlike CK maintenance, R&D robotics were given assignments after Fazbear Entertainment cut off its contractors, so whilst Anna and co were dealing with a computer virus, Tristan, Charles, Izzy, Nora (, + an OC) are trying to not die to the robots Fazbear Entertainment is making them build. Because of course the chips Faz Ent send and demand be put in the robots as soon as possible makes said robots homicidal.
CK animatronic maintenance consists of: Anna Kwemto, Luis Cabrera, Mark Cho, Daniel Rocha, Raha Salib, Steven Willson, and Vanessa Diego.
It’s a long one.
Anna is good at seeing people's hidden potential.
- Between being a baby and five, Anna's hair had always been dyed indigo. After her and her mother moved out of 'the labs', her hair was dyed back to its natural colour of black.
She dyed it indigo herself at 18.
- Anna knew Luis when they were kids. She was one of his few friends, as being a strange new kid kinda gets you picked on as much as being European does (yep, Luis is Spanish).
- Kayla was one of the bullies who picked on her.
- As a result of warnings given to her by her mother ("Never follow a stranger", "beware people in costumes that conceal their face"), she is extremely paranoid.
- Hierarchy does not exist in CK animatronic maintenance. Everyone is equal.
- Anna's hidden potential is that she'd have made a great 'purple guy' if the primary locations had managed to stay open for that long.
Dan and Anna are married
- Dan didn't work for Anna's company during its start-up period; he worked somewhere else.
- A short while after Anna had set up the maintenance firm, Dan got into an accident at work, and he quit on the spot.
- When he went home to Anna, he looked like a bloodied wreck.
- Dan: "Seeing as you've finished setting up the maintenance firm, do you need an employee?"
- Anna: "You need a doctor! What happened!"
- Anna did take her husband as an employee, and is the only person other than the doctor and Dan's former colleagues who knows what his accident was.
- People either know they are married or do not notice at all.
- They both kept their surnames.
- Anna is known to run errands to restock on supplies until late; that is why Dan didn't notice that she hadn't come home during the Adeleide incident.
Raha has a scar where her drill ponytail is
- To preface, Raha's mother is Scottish, Atheist, and a gas station attendant, and her father is Iranian, Muslim, and a businessman, and they met when she told him to quit being a dick to her and the other gas station workers (keep in mind he was a regular at this petrol station). Getting put in his place like that must have changed something about him, or maybe he just wanted the inverse of what he'd been taught to want, cos he stopped being a dickhead immediately.
- Now her parents 'meet weird' is out of the way, Raha was raised with her mom's ideals in an non-religious household and environment.
- Note: Raha's father does sometimes get her headscarves, but she AWLAYS uses them as either belts (and emergency rags) or extra protection when she's welding (she lends them to the guys when they needed to weld too, and they use them more than she does) so no hair gets scorched. He has taken to calling them “welding PPE” as a result of his daughters main use for them.
- She has a scar on the back of her head as the result of an undisclosed accident that occurred between her interview at CK maintenance and her first day.
- During her interview, her hair was in a low drill ponytail.
- on her first day, she had a headscarf clipped awkwardly over half her hair and she looked miserable.
- Anna asked what was wrong, and she disclosed that she had a chunk of hair shaved off as a result of medical actions taken to deal with an injury caused by a recent accident.
- Anna asks if she can see (seeing Dan's scars, Raha feels comfy showing Anna her scars also, knowing she won't make fun of her).
- Anna looks at the scar and asks if she can style Raha's hair (she thinks she can cover up the wound).
- Raha, seeing the chance to have her hair up and out and not have the bald patch visible, aggress.
- Anna styles Raha's hair into the side-drill (it's at a halfway point between the back of her head and being a side-pony) we see today. It covers the injury perfectly, and Raha loves the new hairdo.
Mark Cho has dyslexia
- Mark has dyslexia, but is a master programmer.
- However, he struggles with that due to struggling with reading and spelling.
- So he prefers working as a janitor, but can and will code when needed.
- Anna hired him for his mixed bag of hidden talents, after all.
Steve frequently disassociates
- He's a fast worker, so nobody minds, but he tends to zone out for long periods of time if he has nothing to do.
- He also generally sucks at remembering things, so has to write things down more often than normal.
- He is friends with Jim (James Campbell), who also doubles as a contact to fazbear entertainment.
- Even though Jim does kinda betray him by lying about the 'virus' the circuit boards caused, he'd be broken if anything happened to him.
Luis is not as dumb as he seems (and he works with Anna and Co, so is a contractor)
- Whilst he and Anna were starting up the maintenance firm (Luis is a co-founder of CK animatronic maintenance), he took a part time position at Fazbear Entertainment to make ends meet. This is where he met Ness.
- Both his and Ness's computers have the overseer/employee variants respectively of Fazbear Entertainments employee internet usage monitoring system. Even after leaving Fazbear entertainment, they can't seem to remove the software.
- They don't find out about this software still being here, however, until a while after Ness starts working at CK animatronic maintenance.
- As a result of finding the software, what he sends in the emails is all calculated.
- After all, he knows about the internal server error that has been exposing contractee's emails to anyone who has access to a contractor or contractee company email. His part-time work at Faz'Ent let him see a lot of what was going on behind the scenes, and he uses that knowledge to help Anna keep their employees at CK animatronic maintenance safe.
- So he does everything he can to contact Ness when glitchtrap has her stuck at her desk whilst making himself seem as non-suspicious to the contractee as possible.
He even avoids emailing his other colleagues to prevent Faz Ent from realising that nether him nor Nessie work directly for Fazbear Entertainment anymore.
- Him and Nessie use out-of-work meetings like coffee dates to discuss plans on how to manage, and hopefully even eliminate, Glitchtrap, and what code words to use (ie, why they both refer to Glitchtrap as 'Brad').
- Him and Nessie have a plan. Everyone is in on it except Fazbear Entertainment, who only sees the emails so only sees their follower and a simp.
- which is exactly what he wants them to see.
- Also worth noting that the only reason why he has brown skin is because it's a tan; he goes outside. If he were to shut himself inside for a prolonged period of time, he'd go about as pale as Mark.
After the Adelaide incident and after Toxic Springtrap (Vincent Taylor) was delivered to the firm, Anna received a crash course from Vincent on how-to-hitman 101 so she'd be prepared in case something worse happened.
Kayla and Jim are Fazbear Entertainment Employees.
- When Kayla and Jim's deaths were made public, the cause was not, other than stated as "animatronic related accident".
- Presumed murder, maybe ritual sacrifice.
- The news breaks Steve.
- No remains were given to the families of Jim and Kayla. So maybe they weren't even dead. Yet.
Charles, Tristain, Nora, and Izzy are thier own separate robotics company. R&D robotics.
- Charles runs it. Tristain helped set it up. Izzy runs accounts.
- Nora is technically the only actual employee, but she's also Tristain's GF.
- They are sick to death of being mistaken for Faz Ent's research and development department.
- (In the original draft (ID: Concept!<name>), they were going to be Faz Ent employees and evil, but I scrapped that and made them contractors like Anna and co when I started designing them. Then, one of them was suposed to die, but I couldn't bear to kill any of them due to the changes I had made so they get maimed and traumatised instead. Concept!Nora had red hair, Concept!Charles used Olaf from Advance Wars Dual Strike as a placeholder design. Charles Ramierz will be taking on Concept!Charles's role and personailty, Cheryl M will be taking on Concept!Nora's role but not personailty).
Nora's back is covered in one large burn scar
- She refuses to explain what caused it.
- Both her parents are alive, and also refuse to disclose what occured, stating "she asked us not to say".
- Her medical records never mention a burn wound.
- That means she patched herself up, or had someone patch it up off-the record. The latter is more likely.
- The only evidence towards when it occured is a photograph of her in an open backed dress at 22 years old - there is no burn - and a photo of her in the same dress at 24 - there is a burn.
- Exposure to religious imagery (specificaly those in the christian sphere of religions) causes a fear response which is confirmed to be linked to the cause of the burn.
Exposure to a high-ranking member of any church causes her to turn heel and run. She may stop, drop, and roll when a sufficient distance away. If threataned, she will slam into them with her elbow, almost as if she's trying to pass a fire onto them, before running away.
Another part of this fear response is that her back sets on fire. The fire cannot and does not hurt her, and can only be put out when she is removed from the fear source and calm.
- Nora is an Athiest, and so is the rest of her direct family. Her parents were athiests long before Nora was even born.
- Nora and her family have refused to go to small rural towns since nora was 23.
After Ness was spirited away by William, Luis spends hours in his room trying to figure out where Glitchtrap had taken her.
- Using what he learned from the emails, he finds that she had more than likely been taken to the Pizzaplex.
- Most of the time taken between Ness going missing and going to the megaplex himself was preparation and trying to go about bringing her home the legal way.
- Only after on-duty officers kept on getting shooed out and the only option for them to get in was to either go undercover or for Sylvia to smuggle them in (and have her risk the wrath of her bosses if they ever found out she lied about turning the police away), did it become apparent that he needed to play dirty.
- So he played dirty (re: the events of Arcade Conspiracy (fic)).
