The Foreign Correspondents Association of the Philippines strongly condemns the decision of a Myanmar court sentencing two Reuters journalists to seven years in prison under its draconian Official Secrets Act. It is imperative that journalists everywhere be able to honestly and fairly report the news, without intimidation or fear of reprisal. We are in solidarity with colleagues around the world in calling on the government of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to do the right thing and free Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo.
