Week 137, Day 953.
I have a virtual steering group meeting next week with my company sponsors and so have been occupied with putting everything together for it. This means that aside from an increase in my stress levels, nothing very exciting has happened in the last week or so. I have however developed a new focus technique, where I set an alarm for 50 minutes time during which I have to focus on whatever it is that is a priority on my ‘to-do’ list. Once the alarm goes, I am allowed a 10 minute break. I have found that by relying on an alarm I don’t check the clock every two minutes and feel more relaxed about the task at hand knowing that I will be ‘told’ when I can have some time off. ⏰
As for lockdown living, I have decided to put together a list of all of the things I have achieved during quarantine to overcome the overwhelming sensation that all days have merged into one and time has stopped altogether. Most of the things on that list are related to DIY projects as I have seriously gotten into learning new skills, including those required for home improvement. I have so far painted the bathroom, hallway/stairway, and our fireplace. Tomorrow, I am supposed to (finally) receive my garden fence paint; an order I made 5 weeks ago! I have also ordered many other DIY related products for multiple projects, which I will share as I get through them! For now, below is a photo of the 3000 piece puzzle that my other half and I did, which we had framed. 🖌
Have an awesome week! Remember to keep moving. I have really enjoyed running as it helps me getaway from the stresses of work and the confines of our current ‘island life’. 🏃🏻♀️
Thank you to the 685+ of you that follow me! ❤
