It's crazy how my brother Nick Cannon still gets slept on and under appreciated after winning so big for so long. Dude has been a professional stand up comedian since 15-years-old, became the youngest staff writer in television history and sold his first script to Will Smith at 17, became the youngest Chairman in television at 28, and he has had damn near every hot hip-hop personality appear on his popular MTV Wild N' Out television show over the past 11 seasons. The fact that he dated a few beautiful women in his lifetime and ended up marrying the world's biggest pop star is kind of crazy, but it doesn't compare to how great of a dad he is to his beautiful kids. I've had the pleasure of watching dude grow, close up and from afar for well over a decade, and I'm so excited to see how focused, driven, insightful and humble Nick continues to be. This dude has success beyond many of our wildest dreams, and he still makes time to fly to Howard University every week to attend class as a double major undergraduate student, and he still made time to make a quick detour to Atlanta for a couple of hours to sit down with me for an amazing conversation, which enabled me to write the current digital cover story for RESPECT Magazine. Huge shout out to Nick, Dorian, Mr. James Cannon, Aja, Jon, Trevor, Morgan and especially my man JR for finally coming around and putting some RESPECT. on the homie's name. King Cannon is a special dude. Heavy is the head that wears the CROWN.
