"Of course. You were the heart of the blue lions, and the same holds true for the kingdom army."
I meant for that to be a tease but he responded completely seriously because of course he did.

Edelgard: The ball is tomorrow. I have no worthwhile memories of such events, yet I'm still looking forward to this one.
Hubert: as am I, in the sense that I look forward to destroying all the unworthy suitors who will inevitably swarm Lady Edelgard.
A totally normal platonic thing for a body guard to say.
Jeritza: I am holding back the urge to destroy you.
Also Jeritza: *accepts tea invitation*
It's not unusual for there to be some ship teasing in the A supports, but it's usually kind of ambiguous or "We'll talk about this later" so it actually came as a wonderful shock when Hubert said that plainly that he loves Edelgard.
Lorenz ages ago: I want to go into a cavalry class because blah blah something about a noble image because I high key have a white knight complex.
Me: OK.
Well, we technically met that goal a while ago, but then I gave him the Crescent Sickle, and then I made him a dark knight, and uh...
I just realized my Lorenz looks like a reaper, which is probably not quite what he'd had in mind.
Whoa he looks good as an assassin!
Hubert threatened me in the first conversation and I thought he was just an overly paranoid body guard but then,
"Lady Edelgard certainly took interest in a difficult one this time."
Oh no have I gotten on a yandere's bad side?
Lorenz: It appears Claude has dissolved the Alliance. He's thrown away the pride of all the Leicester lords who have walked the path of Independence from Faerghus for generations. I said from the start that he was not suitable to lead!"
Byleth: but even you...
Lorenz: *the surprised flustered face* ... Well, times have changed, haven't they? I suppose we can trust the kingdom now.
