This phenomenon occurs when the sun is at a particular angle in relation to fog particles. One can only see their own "halo", even though they may be standing right next to others.

My brother captured a near colourless rainbow. Rarer than the normal ones and sometimes called 'fogbows' or 'ghost rainbows'.
