the cure’s “a forest” single cover, 1980 // the cure, “a forest” lyrics // taylor swift “folklore” album cover, 2020 // taylor swift, “seven” lyrics
Unfortunately I genuinely think she and karlie broke up. So what actual theories would there be left? :/
Well, I've read articles that I'd like to parallel songs with that are very specific...👀 Not Karlie and Tay specific but just interesting things. Also some connections to other media like songs and books. I did the "Like Water" parallel after Folklore. Thank you for your reply, anon.🤓🌿🌊
bruh
“i think i’ve seen this film before // and i didn’t like the ending” (exile - folklore)
“music starts playin' like the end of a sad movie // it's the kinda ending you don't really wanna see” (breathe - fearless)
and they BOTH feature another artist 👀

I’m still thinking about how Exile by Taylor Swift (ft. Bon Iver) is 100% Edward and Bella’s song. Like it literally has these lyrics:
“I can see you standing, honey, with his arms around your body. Laughing but the joke’s not funny at all.”
“You were my town, now I’m in exile seeing you out.”
“I can see you staring honey, like he’s just your understudy”
“Second, third, and hundredth chances, balancing on breaking branches, those eyes add insult to injury.”
“I’m not your problem anymore, so who am I offending now?”
AND THEN ESPECIALLY THIS PART:
“There is no amount of crying I can do for you. All this time, we always walked a very thin line. You didn’t even hear me out. You never gave a warning sign (I gave so many signs). All this time, I never learned to read your mind (you never learned to read my mind). I couldn’t turn things around (you never turned things around).”
