I have been playing The Sims off and on for 20 years and until recently remained terrified of Build Mode. What changed, you ask? sahmandbean’s Build Like A Nerd series on YouTube. And technology! Having two screens - one to watch her YT tutorial and one to build in the sims. Here is the facade of my imperfect Folk Victorian, a type of house I see all over town, but never knew the name or history.

Several architectural elements were likely added over many generations, although the ornamental trim adorning the front porch is original and points to the invention of the scroll saw.
