Follow the Script | AU | Alecto & Sirius
She knew what this was about and Alecto couldn’t say she was pleased with it, though she supposed it could be worse. The only thing that she had in mind was to leave the Carrow Manor one way or another and she knew that marriage was the best option; particularly now that Alfred tore her Holyhead Harpies acceptance letter. It was also nice that she wasn’t being forced to marry a cousin or some creepy relative.
Sirius Black, however, would’ve never been her first option nor her second, even if they had fooled around when they were younger. But the Blacks were a respectable family to form an alliance with, not that Alecto cared too much about that, but in pureblood standards, the Blacks and the Carrows were two of the purest families in the UK.
Now they were waiting for them to arrive to the Carrow Manor, they were going to have dinner and Alecto was sure that their parents were going to announce their betrothal. She wasn’t stupid and she knew that her father and Orion Black were seeing each other frecuently, more frecuently than regular business men did, so it was a matter of putting two and two together. The Blacks didn’t have daughters so is not like Amycus could get a potential wife and besides, Amycus could choose because he was the heir. She, on the other hand, was an inconvenience.
“Alecto, that dress makes you look fat” her father commented as his eyes ranked her body rather greedily, even if he had just said something mean. “You really need to quit the sweets” he said and the girl swallowed, looking down at her feet.
“Yes, father” she mumbled quietly, running her slender fingers through her hair.
“Master Carrow, Miss Alecto” the house elf showed up, making an exggerated bow. “Mr. and Mrs. Black are here with their son” he said, making Alecto stand up and flatten the skirt of her dress.
“Well, make them come in” Alfred replied, slightly exasperated as he too stood up. “And then punish yourself for making them wait” he added, making Alecto clench her fists tightly.
“Yes Master” he replied and disappeared.
A few moments later, the Blacks walked into the room and Alfred flashed a welcoming smile. “Orion” he said, approaching to the man and held out his hand while Alecto offered Walburga a soft and perfectly practised smile.
